The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, January 10, 2020, promise a day of tears of both joy and sadness, as well as new plans for the new year.
Nick and Sharon call up good memories of their late daughter on her birthday, while Phyllis continues with her plot to win back The Grand Phoenix/ Plus, Nate gets an offer to try something new.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) take a moment to remember Cassie (Camryn Grimes), the daughter Sharon gave up for adoption then miraculously got back, and the little girl Nick adopted and loved as his own.
The exes share a close moment, even as Sharon can’t help thinking about her own mortality, and the looming biopsy. Does she have breast cancer?
Also, will this close moment cause her to confide everything in Nick, the man who has always been her go-to for all these decades?
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) made it clear to Nick that she plans to have more fun in the new year. And oh, yeah, she also plans to get back what’s hers, namely the Grand Phoenix.
To that end, Phyllis continues to needle Abby (Melissa Ordway) — and stalk Chance (Donny Boaz). Abby thinks she is up to the challenge. Abby is not up to the challenge. Will she have anything left — hotel? Man? — by the time Phyllis is done with her?

Nate (Sean Dominic) has yet to get a storyline of his own. He dated Abby. That went nowhere. He helped Victor (Eric Braeden) fake his death. That was all about Victor.
He befriended Amanda (Mishael Morgan). Devon (Bryton James) managed to make it all about himself.
Now Nate gets an intriguing offer. Will it be something along the lines of Victor asking him to put his medical license on the line again, or will it be Devon looping Nate into his New Hope charity projects with Nick?
Then again, maybe it’s Amanda who has some use for Nate. At least she wants him for something, not just for what he can do for her. Or does she? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
