The Young and the Restless spoilers for January 4-8, 2021, tease a medical crisis for Chelsea, Adam swallowing whatever is left of his pride, Elena making amends, and more!
The Young and the Restless Spoilers Highlights
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) suffers a stroke in the aftermath of her emergency brain surgery and is left completely paralyzed on her right side. When Adam (Mark Grossman) learns of his fiancée’s predicament, he demands to see her and is summarily denied.
It’s standard practice not to allow visitors in order to try and stave off potential infections the patients could develop, plus Adam has no legal right to even visit. They aren’t yet man and wife.
Of course, Adam isn’t content with following the rules. He wants to be with his beloved, especially since he thoroughly blames himself for her predicament. But just how badly does he want to get into that hospital room? Bad enough to phone Victor (Eric Braeden) and ask him to pull a few strings.
Attempted Reconciliation
After spending a romantic evening with Nate (Sean Dominic) at the Grand Phoenix, Elena (Brytni Sarpy) is finally beginning to see a possible future for the two of them. If only she still didn’t feel so drawn to Devon (Bryton James).
The two happen upon one another at Crimson Lights, and Elena takes the opportunity to once again apologize for her betrayal. Devon accepts the apology, and when the conversation turns towards his relationship with Amanda (Mishael Morgan), he insists that they are nothing more than friends.
But Elena isn’t so sure. Or, at the very least, she isn’t so sure that will always remain the case. The exes part on amicable terms, but Elena’s exercise seems to do more harm than good. Devon remains on her mind…more than ever before.
YR Odds and Ends
In other Genoa City news, both Victor and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) take matters into their own hands, and Jack (Peter Bergman) offers Sally (Courtney Hope) his protection.
Meanwhile, it seems that Amanda is in for a tough week. Not only does she learn some shocking news about her past, but she’ll then be forced into making a painful decision. Luckily, Devon will be by her side…and Amanda’s sure going to need him. Especially after she receives a stern warning.
Finally, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) gets the upper hand in her battle against Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Lily (Christel Khalil) worries about mixing business with pleasure, and Kyle (Michael Mealor) is left fuming over Billy’s (Jason Thompson) bold power move.
