Soaps are full of people constantly getting new faces. Sometimes we’re supposed to not notice, other times we’re told a plastic surgeon so skilled did it, that he managed to change a character’s eye color and height, as well!

But when Kay (Jeanne Cooper) decided she wanted to look younger, it was neither of those things. Cooper went ahead and got a real-life facelift, while YR’s cameras went into the operating room to document the process. Now her bandages are finally coming off. And Kay and the viewers see the results for the first time – together.

Look at Me

First, she was just a photographer’s assistant. Her cousin, Joe, got her the job. But it wasn’t long before Cricket (Lauralee Bell) was promoted to Jabot model. And then to younger leading lady who all characters must fall in love with.

Family Romance

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) was dating a hot young artist named Eric. She was head over heels for him. And so was her estranged mother, Dina (Marla Adams). Turned out Dina had an earlier affair with Eric, herself. And she didn’t appreciate being replaced by a younger, newer model.

Trouble In Paradise

Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) had finally married in a big, splashy ceremony that fans watched earlier in reruns. They were an idyllic, happy family with tiny, blonde Victoria. But soon the cracks begin to show… and now, they’ve got problems. Good thing they’re both so reasonable, they’ll straighten this out in no time. Nothing can break this couple apart! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
