The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, July 1, 2020 continue with Paul and Christine Week by re-airing an episode from December 29, 1994, just a few weeks after Tuesday’s rerun. Christine and Paul are about to be married, but two shocking twists make that much less likely. Plus, Olivia tries to set up Malcolm with Stephanie.
Paul (Doug Davidson) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) were YR’s answer to Hart to Hart. They went on exotic adventures together, such as tracking down Jack’s (Peter Bergman) long-lost – and now once again forgotten – son, Keemo, in Vietnam, stopping on their way East in Hawaii to share a kiss on a beach that wasn’t inside a studio. (Spoiler: Hawaii also doubled as Vietnam in that episode but, hey, outside is outside!)
Now they’re about to be married, and nothing can stand in their way. Well, except for maybe that kiss Chris shared with her ex-husband, Danny (Michael Damian). The one he’s now trying and not trying to tell Kay (Jeanne Cooper) about.
Chris may have decided to keep the kiss to herself. But Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) saw it, too. Phyllis is the woman who broke up Chris and Danny by popping up with Daniel, the boy she claimed was her and Danny’s son.
Phyllis won that squirmish. You’d think she’d rest on her laurels. But, nope. The kiss made Phyllis want to seek revenge. So she gets in her car and… why, who’s that over there? Is that Christine… and Paul?
Genoa City is perhaps the only place on earth where a guy who looks like Malcolm (Shemar Moore) can have a woman like Olivia (Tonya Lee Williams) worried that he can’t get a date. So she introduces him to Stephanie (Vivica A. Fox). Who has a 4th of July date in her future with Will Smith… The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
