The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, September 23, 2020, reveal a day of memories for Devon and tears for Amanda.
The fact that Hilary’s birth certificate confirms they were both born in one state and Amanda (Mishael Morgan) was placed in foster care in another, prompts her to ask Devon (Bryton James) for even more information about her long-lost twin.
Of course, Devon waxes nostalgic at the love and light that was Hilary — apparently whenever they weren’t fighting and divorcing. There was never a woman like her, and Devon has clearly glorified her life, but that doesn’t stop Amanda from wanting more.
So, he gives her more in the form of old GC Buzz episodes where Amanda could see her twin in action. It’s a bonding moment for Devon and Amanda while Elena (Brytni Sarpy) continues to lament her new plight to Nate (Sean Dominic).
It also looks like Nate is going to be Amanda’s sounding board, as well. She heads to the clinic to tell him how wonderful it was to see Hilary on video but the next thing he knows, she’s standing there bawling. He couldn’t imagine what was wrong, but to Amanda everything was right and there were tears of joy.
She now has a connection to where she comes from after all those years of being shuttled from one foster home to another. Sure, her biological family is dead but at least she now knows who they were.
When Elena gets home, she is also in tears. She is terrified of losing Devon and is becoming a basket case due to this entire situation. Devon has to once again assure her that Hilary is his past and she is his future, but Elena seems very, very unsure… The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
