The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, August 7, 2020 end months of classic episodes with a bang – literally. Chelsea plans to go on the run with her son and his father. Chloe has other plans. Plus, Neil reconnects with his mother. He wonders where she’s been. We suspect “the final frontier” isn’t going to cut it.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers Highlights

Adam (a pre-This Is Us Justin Hartley) may have escaped extreme punishment for accidentally running down and killing Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Billy’s (Jason Thompson) daughter, Delia, with his car, but his dad, Victor (Eric Braeden), decided to teach Adam a lesson for committing a more serious offense – disrespecting Victor – by setting him up for the murder of Constance Bingham.

Adam went to jail for that, not for killing Delia. He was attacked there, and Victor changed his mind, helping his son escape. (Victor considers the Genoa City legal system to be his plaything. You can see why he was so upset when Christine insisted on doing her job, and not his bidding.) Victor was going to help Adam, Chelsea, and Connor to escape the country. But Chloe had other plans.

Newer viewers know that Chloe isn’t well. But, in 2016, they didn’t realize just how far she’d spiraled. Adam found out – too late.

(Don’t worry, she’s all better now and perfectly capable of being trusted to raise little Bella and her baby brother to be.)

Opening Hailing Frequencies

Neil (Kristoff St. John) comes back into contact with Lucinda (Nichelle Nichols), the mother who abandoned him. Neil would like to know why. Lucinda swears she kept an eye on her son from a distance, but she had a very good reason for leaving. Will Neil think it’s as good of a reason as she does? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
