The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal the action in Genoa City heating up as the winter progresses! Watch for power balances to shift, relationships to change, and rivalries to explode! Here’s a winter preview, according to the January 5, 2021, issue of Soap Opera Digest.
Sally (Courtney Hope) and Summer’s (Hunter King) rivalry will intensify. We’ve seen Sally go to extreme lengths on The Bold and the Beautiful to get what she wants, but Summer, too, is capable of doing what she needs to in order to get the job done! The two women battle each other not only in the boardroom but on the personal front, too, as Sally grows close to a man near and dear to Summer — is it Kyle (Michael Mealor) or someone else?
Chance (Donny Boaz) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) are enjoying wedded bliss, but is their future indeed a rosy one? The couple will face some obstacles, which will cause them to lean on family members for support. The two are now living in the Chancellor mansion, but it may not be happily ever after for the newlyweds.
Amanda (Mishael Morgan) will learn about her past, but how will that affect her future? Meanwhile, Devon (Bryton James) may start to have second thoughts that he ended things with Elena (Brytni Sarpy). Is it too late for Elena and Devon? It may be if she decides that Nate (Sean Dominic) is the man for her after all!
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) appears to be okay with Billy (Jason Thompson) moving on to a relationship with Lily (Christel Khalil), but is she really? Victoria and Billy share two children — Johnny (Holden and Ryan Hare) and Katie (Sienna Mercui) — and that will always tie them together. Is that enough for Victoria or does she want Billy back in her life as her husband?
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) enlists the aid of Kevin (Greg Rikaart) to get the upper-hand against Victoria in her quest to gain control of the Grand Phoenix hotel. Nick (Joshua Morrow) isn’t fond of his sister’s treatment of his lady love and he lets his feelings be known. Will this cause Victoria to back off? Or will that question be moot?
Adam (Mark Grossman) faces a new crisis when Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) takes ill. Victor (Eric Braeden) proves to be an unlikely source of support for his son given their past relationship. The mustached mogul isn’t the only one supporting Adam. Sharon (Sharon Case), despite being a newlywed, may not be able to refrain from helping her ex, which won’t sit well with her new husband Rey (Jordi Vilasuso).
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) becomes aware of her teenage granddaughter Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) and her drinking. A recovering alcoholic herself, Nikki will take steps to make sure her granddaughter doesn’t go down a dark path. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
