Young and Restless Spoilers September 18: Victor Lies to Nikki

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, September 18, shock absolutely no one when Victor effortlessly lies to the love of his life, “my baby,” the woman he cherishes above all others—his wife, Nikki.

Looking Out For You

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) doesn’t like the idea of Victor (Eric Braeden) making Lily (Christel Khalil) think they are working together to get Billy (Jason Thompson) out of Abbott-Chancellor so that she can take over when, in reality, Victor plans to kick Lily to the curb and install Nikki in her position, instead.

Victor, how to put this…doesn’t care what Nikki thinks. He loves her so much that he knows what’s best for Nikki better than she does. She thinks they should be upfront with Lily. But that’s because she’s a naive, uneducated, alcoholic former stripper. Who will make an excellent CEO of Chancellor. Because Victor said so. She will be so grateful to him for doing what she specifically told him not to do. And certainly not for her sake.

Divided Loyalties

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) knows that Victor is always right (even regarding her love life). She knows that it makes perfect sense for Victor to lie to Lily. The bigger problem is that Victor is also going after Billy.

Victoria and Billy may be divorced, but he is still Johnny (Paxton Mishkind) and Katie’s (Sienna Mercuri) father. Does Victoria owe her children’s father her loyalty? Should she warn him about what Victor is doing?

The Outsiders

We tip our hats to Cole (J. Eddie Peck). When Victor mumbled his orders that Cole was to stay away from Victoria, Cole did an admirable job not bursting into incredulous laughter. Heck, he didn’t even giggle or crack a smile.

We know we wouldn’t have been able to keep a straight face, but Cole is a good listener. He plays that role for Claire (Hayley Erin), who is torn about her feelings for Kyle (Michael Mealor)—not just the romantic ones, but her concerns about his relationship with Diane (Susa Walters) and Jack (Peter Bergman). Cole hears his daughter out and proves a much better father than Victor could ever hope to be.
