Ashley Abbott Reunites With an Old Love

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, January 9 continue diving into the past to inform the future as Ashley runs into Cole.

Young and the Restless Spoilers Highlights

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Cole (J. Eddie Peck) weren’t together when their baby, Eve, was born…and supposedly died. Victoria was in a relationship with Neil (Kristoff St. John), and Cole was with Ashley (Eileen Davidson). Yes, the guy who might have been Victor’s (Eric Braeden) son slept with Victor’s daughter, and with two of his ex-wives, Ashley, and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott).

Ashley and Cole ended up splitting on relatively friendly terms, which is why they are happy to run into each other now. She was there when he lost little Eve and knows how hard it was for him. She’s in a pretty vulnerable place herself these days, with the split from Tucker (Trevor St. John). It must be nice to see a friendly face from the past. And maybe for the future?

Fists of Fury

Kyle (Michael Mealor) is feeling particularly smug these days. We can tell, because he’s wearing his very smug face, rather than his slightly smug face. He thinks he has Jack (Peter Bergman) where he wants him because he’s told him he has Tucker where he wants him, and he thinks he has Audra (Zulyika Silver) where he wants her because she’s pretending to believe that too (find out Silver’s thoughts on Kyle here).

Kyle is convinced nothing can go wrong with his brilliant plan, which is why, when it does, he has a bit of a meltdown. And this one promises to go beyond his usual watery eyes, quivering lip, and petulant foot-stomping.

Surprise Party

Now that Sharon (Sharon Case) has broken up with Chance (Conner Floyd), Summer (Allison Lanier) is free to go after her man, just like Mommy urged. (Though won’t Phyllis be furious to learn her Supergirl is getting Sharon’s castoffs, instead of besting her by being younger and, well, Phyllis’s daughter.) But Summer doesn’t know about the breakup. Which is why she has a surprise for Chance. And he has one for her, in return.
