Former soap opera extra Corey Sligh, who has appeared in the background of serials including All My Children, Days of Our Lives, and The Young and the Restless, has been convicted of child molestation.
E News reported that on June 28, a Cherokee County, Georgia jury found Sligh guilty of one felony count of molesting a child under the age of ten, and not guilty of a felony count of child molestation.
The sentence can range from five to twenty years in prison. At press time, a sentencing date had not yet been set.
Sligh, 31, is awaiting trial on similar charges in Florida. According to published reports, he maintains his innocence.
Sligh was first arrested in Georgia in 2016 when he was charged with two counts following the parents of the victim reporting to the police that he allegedly touched her and forced her to touch him inappropriately.
