Ashland Locke has had it with the entire Newman clan on The Young and the Restless. If they’re going to keep accusing him of faking his cancer and only marrying Victoria Newman in order to worm his way into her company, then Ashland is taking his ball and he’s going home.
The Young and the Restless Polling
He wants to leave Genoa City — after confessing to Victoria (Amelia Heinle) that all the charges are true. And he wants Victoria to come with him. Should she? Here’s what the viewers had to say:
Y&R: Oh My, Papa
Leave Genoa City? More importantly, leave Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)? A majority 52% of you can’t fathom such a thing! How could Victoria even consider leaving her family when, at any moment, her father might need to hold a meeting to inform all of them what they’re doing wrong leading their lives and how they should listen to him to do it right?
Any child of his so much as considering living a life of their own convinces Victor they’re being disloyal. And you know how sad that makes Victor. Did you know he grew up in an orphanage? He doesn’t mention it much.
Young and the Restless: Good Riddance
Oh, just go, 40% of the audience dismisses, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out. If you can’t respect your father the way he deserves to be respected, then you should follow your loser husband out of town.
Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) have the right to criticize Victor and his actions. They’ve earned that right. They’re men. But Daddy’s little girl was put on earth to worship him unconditionally. And if you can’t, we — and Victor — don’t need you around.
Y&R Love Match
Only 8% are keeping an open mind that Ashland (Robert Newman) truly does love Victoria. In that case, she is definitely better off leaving town with him than staying where she isn’t wanted or respected.
