The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Sharon Case Previews 2018!

Sharon Case has been playing Sharon Collins Newman on The Young and the Restless since 1994. She knows her character inside and out — and recently gave an interview as to where she sees Sharon going in 2018.

The actress recently shared insights about her character with CBS Soaps In Depth. Among her thoughts are that her character’s ex, Nick (Joshua Morrow), is jealous of her current beau, Scott.

Nick is “jealous of Scott,” Case told In Depth. “Nick doesn’t want to admit it, but he’s jealous.”

While we’ve seen Nick not be Scott’s biggest fan, he’s also very happy in his relationship with Chelsea. There aren’t a lot of indicators that he’d end that dynamic to take up with Sharon once more.

On the other hand, Case shared with the magazine, “There have been a lot of scenes this year where Nick and Sharon are very close. So that could lead them to get back together.” The Emmy-winning actress adds that she doesn’t want it to happen overnight.

“I’d love it if they spent time rediscovering each other this time,” Case says. “It would be a really neat relationship to watch over a period of time, where they both find out why they really love each other again.”

Where would this leave Scott? Well, in many respects, it’d leave him exactly where he is right now — extremely fond of Abby! If the two of them can ever put their Moonlighting-like bantering on hold for a few moments and really admit how much they like each other, well, Y&R might not have not just one, but two happy couples!

But let’s not discount a Sharon and Scott pairing. “It’s really developed over a normal amount of time. They’re a good fit for each other…and this is the right timing for them because of the places they are at in their lives right now.”
