Losing her baby Bowinic on The Young and the Restless first prompted Mariah Copeland to pressure her girlfriend into having a baby – as soon as possible! When Tessa Porter made it clear she wasn’t ready, Mariah pulled back a little.

A majority 71% of the audience are suspicious about Tessa’s out-of-the-blue change of heart. You suspect there’s something more going on than just her suddenly hearing the ticking of her biological clock. Is she scared of losing Mariah? Is she scared she might be tempted back towards Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) unless she and Mariah are more committed? Or is she just losing interest and trying to save her relationship with a baby – just like so many other couples have tried to do. And always failed.

This doesn’t need to be a biological child, 20% of you point out. Both Mariah and Tessa know what it’s like to grow up in families where you feel unloved and unwanted. They could save an innocent child from a similar fate by adopting and becoming a family that celebrates the holidays with Bowinic and his parents. Everybody wins!

Go For It!

Only 9% of voters are convinced that Mariah and Tessa are totally ready for this major step. Who cares that Mariah is still mourning the baby she carried and had contractually agreed to give up? Who cares that Tessa is on the cusp of releasing a new album and going on tour – which could be tricky to juggle with a newborn, much less a pregnancy. They should leap before they look and make a life-changing decision without thinking it through. What could go wrong?
