Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights
Summer (Allison Lanier) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) had a meal together at Society, and Summer worried that Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) might be hurt due to whatever Talia Morgan (Natalie Morales) wrote in her article. She also mentioned that she and Kyle (Michael Mealor) no longer planned to babysit Phyllis and Diane (Susan Walters), which thrilled Phyllis.

At Jabot, Kyle and Jack (Peter Bergman) talked, and Jack ended up telling his son he’d hired Adam (Mark Grossman) to be his co-Chief Executive Officer, which Kyle didn’t love. However, he didn’t dwell too much on that. Instead, Kyle asked Jack for his help in creating a special wedding celebration for Summer at the Abbott mansion. Jack was visibly moved by Kyle’s idea, and he offered to do whatever Kyle needed to make the day special.
Then, Diane walked in and overheard a bit, so Kyle let her know what he had planned, and she somehow managed to make it about her by saying she felt it was for her too, and not just Summer. Kyle seemed fine with that, and he was touched his mother offered her assistance in any way he needed.
Of course, Summer and Phyllis happened to walk in at that point and wondered what was up. Kyle, who planned to keep the whole idea a secret from Summer, played it off, and then Phyllis and Diane shared some snarky words after their kids left. They went back and forth, and then Phyllis dropped bombshell news on Diane — Talia Morgan (Natalie Morales) wrote an exposé on Diane’s misdeeds. Diane teared up and seemed incredibly frustrated by the information. Then, Phyllis revealed the Los Angeles-based journalist intended to do an entire series on Diane and her return from the dead.
Back in his office alone, Jack saw the article on his phone, and he looked furious about the whole thing.
Young and the Restless: A New Adventure
It was a huge day for Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster). She prepared to head to the University of Michigan. She, Nick (Joshua Morrow), and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) gathered at Crimson Lights to go over last-minute details. Adam walked in, and Faith informed him that his kidney would go to college…again. She and her parents thanked Adam once more for his kidney donation, and he played it off like it wasn’t a huge deal.
After Faith left, Sharon and Nick talked about how their little girl was leaving — Sharon’s last child (and technically Nick’s too). Then, Victor summoned Nick, so he left. Sharon and Adam talked, and he let her know he’d accepted Jack’s offer to be co-CEO at Jabot. Sharon was happy and mentioned Sally (Courtney Hope), which threw off Adam. He wondered if Sharon and Sally talked a lot these days.
Then, Sally herself walked in, and Adam asked her to sit with him on the patio, and she reluctantly agreed. She seemed surprised to hear that Adam would work at Jabot now, and then Adam left her shocked by apologizing for hurting her.
Back inside, Sharon comforted a despondent Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) after they relayed that the adoption attorney told them they weren’t good candidates. It seems birth mothers like prospective parents who don’t have criminal records. Sharon refused to accept that, and she did her best to give her daughter and daughter-in-law a big pep talk.
Y&R Spoilers Recap: Family
At the ranch, Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) discussed Diane, and he warned his wife to remember that she was Summer’s mother-in-law, so she needed to tread carefully. However, aside from that, Victor was just as happy as Nikki to get Diane out of town as quickly as possible.
Then, they discussed their family and how quickly time passed. Faith was headed to college, and Dominic already turned 1. At that point, Victor expressed his dismay at Adam not integrating with their family. Nikki seemed ready to give up on her stepson, but Victor wasn’t willing to give up on Adam.
Finally, Nick showed up, and Victor wanted to talk about Sally. Nick told his father how she’d done a good job, but Victor reminded him what she did to Summer and failed at getting Adam back in the fold as he’d asked. He said he didn’t trust Sally, and he advised Nick to fire her. Of course, Nick seemed like he wanted to continue giving Sally a chance to prove herself at Newman Media.
Coming Up Next On Y&R Spoilers: A Plan Backfires
Coming up next, as good as they felt about Talia’s article, Nikki and Phyllis will get a nasty surprise when their whole plan backfires. Will Talia’s next article paint Diane in a good light? Or, will something else happen that exposes the whole thing? You can expect them both to scramble to come up with something else because there’s no way that they’ll give up on bringing down their nemesis quite yet.
Speaking of Diane, she gets a cryptic message, but who could be behind it? Is it somebody who wants to help Diane, or is it somebody who means her further harm? She’ll have a decision to make about whether or not to trust it and what to do about the message. One thing is certain, Diane has plenty of damage control to do after her sordid past once again made headlines in Genoa City and beyond.
