Y&R Spoilers Recap For September 15: Adam Puts It All On The Line For Sally

The Y&R spoilers recap for Thursday, September 15, 2022, brings a moment of truth from Adam Newman while Sally Spectra withholds her own truth, blaming everything on him.

Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights

Sally (Courtney Hope) cried in the bathroom while looking at herself in the mirror. Adam (Mark Grossman) knocked on her door, but she tried not to let him in. He welcomed her back to The Grand Phoenix as a fellow long-term resident. Ultimately, Adam begged for just one nightcap to talk, so against her better judgment, Sally opened the door.

Adam told Sally he wanted her back, and he pointed out that they could be together now that he worked at Jabot and she worked at Newman Media, so they no longer had a family and job conflict. Sally pointed out that his timing couldn’t be worse. Then Sally went on to blame Adam for missing her meeting because she was intoxicated by him at the rooftop bar. Sally said Adam is like an addiction that was toxic and unhealthy for her.

Adam said she was right, but he also insisted that they have something between them that is worth pursuing and growing. Sally said it was too late, but Adam insisted that it wasn’t. She said that Adam is a huge liability to her with no foreseeable return on her investment, which got through to him.

Adam wondered what Nick and Sally had discussed, and she said it was a business matter. Then, Sally asked Adam to leave, so he stood up to go. Even on his way out, though, Adam pleaded with Sally to reconsider things and listen to her heart and take him back. He admitted he was stupid and wrong and revealed that he’d never stopped loving her. Just as she was about to reply, Sally got a text from Nick, which broke the moment. She told him that she needed time and space.

Meanwhile, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) had a drink together at the bar at Society. They lamented the problems they each faced. Nate talked about Ashland Locke (Robert Newman), and Nick noted that was a few worries ago. Nate mentioned he’d quit Chancellor-Winters, and Nick said that Newman Enterprises might have a place for him if he needed it.

When Nick left, he ran into Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and gave her a heads up on Nate’s bad evening. Elena walked in to talk to Nate, and he admitted that he’d quit Chancellor-Winters. She expressed her happiness that he left, which wasn’t quite what he’d expected. Then, Nate revealed that he had something up his sleeve that might make Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) notice and respect him. Elena disagreed with Nate’s plan, and he was displeased that she wasn’t supporting him — again. Nate felt he was justified, but Elena told him others would be affected too, and his plan was wrong.

Young and the Restless: Friends

Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) surprised Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) when she tried to leave after falling asleep reading bedtime stories to Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez). She apologized for interrupting his evening, but Jack invited her to stay to decompress, so Diane asked for some tea.

They talked, enjoying their mutual stories about their grandson. Then talk turned to work, and Diane alluded to her troubles with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) at work, and Jack advised her to let that go and focus on doing her best. Diane said she might as well leave Marchetti, but Jack said she shouldn’t and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) wanted her there, so she should stay. That way, she could continue strengthening her bond with their son. Diane called him wise, and she admitted she wanted to prove herself to both Kyle and Jack.

Jack wondered what she meant, and she said it helped her get one step closer to her goal of becoming friends with Jack. He agreed, and Jack admitted he admired Diane’s determination to prove she’d changed. Diane stood to go, but because it was so late, he offered Diane a guest room, but she declined.

Y&R Spoilers Recap: Trepidation

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) gathered things for her upcoming trip, and she asked Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about some of her chargers. He wondered why she seemed so on edge about traveling this time compared to usual trips, and she admitted that this one meant more.

They talked about her concerns and worries. Then, Victor said he wished he could go back in time and undo all the things that he did to cause her hurt and harm. He also advised Nikki not to go to visit Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) if she had such trepidation about it.

Nikki pointed out how much Deacon did in helping Diane fake her own death. Victor said he’d like to take care of Deacon himself, but Nikki said she needed to do it all on her own. Nikki believed that Deacon would know the truth about anything bad in Diane’s past. Victor offered to retrieve him for her, but Nikki didn’t agree with that idea. Even so, Victor insisted that his security accompany her, but she asked him to warn them to be discreet so they wouldn’t scare off Deacon.

Coming Up Next On Y&R Spoilers: Playing With Fire

Coming up, you can expect to see Sally and Nick continue playing with fire, which might not go over so well at work. However, apparently, these two have no plans to let that stop them. If and when Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and/or Victor find out what Nick did, the stuff is sure to hit the fan.
