The Y&R spoilers recap for Monday, May 30, 2022, brings big decisions for Kyle Abbott and Summer Newman Abbott when it comes to Ashland Locke’s access to Harrison Locke. With Victor Newman on their side, it seems all but inevitable that they’ll get whatever they want. Plus, Phyllis Summers and Jack Abbott have a run-in with Diane Jenkins while Sharon Rosales gives Ashland a big piece of her mind.
Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights
Kyle (Micheal Mealor) and Summer (Allison Lanier) are poised to take over Genoa City, and it seems that they have the support of both their families in doing so. Of course, there’s plenty of drama, though, especially with Diane (Susan Walters) hoping to be Harrison’s “Dee Dee” (Kellen Enriquez) and Ashland (Robert Newman) attempting to see the little boy more frequently.
These two have a lot to consider, and Victor (Eric Braeden) summoned his granddaughter to ensure that she is on his side in helping keep Ashland away from her stepson (never mind that Victor has an ulterior motive here). He even had Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) ready and waiting to file a restraining order. Later, Summer told Kyle what she thought, and he wanted to ensure they did the right thing for Harrison.
Young and the Restless: Grand Picnic
As for Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), she treated Jack (Peter Bergman) to a “Grand Picnic” in the park (it’s part of a summer promotion at The Grand Phoenix). He warned Phyllis that he can’t just promise that Jabot would buy Marchetti. After some whining, Phyllis agreed that Jack had to be wise in the decision, but oh wouldn’t it be great to have Kyle, Summer, and Harrison in Genoa City.
Later, Diane managed to interrupt their happy moment, and neither Phyllis nor Jack were too thrilled to see her. Then, Ashland even walked by. After Phyllis and Jack went back to the Abbott mansion, she said she hoped that Ashland would finally be the person that brought down Diane.
As for Diane, she and Ashland got to know each other better while sitting on a bench in the park. They each confessed some of their dirty deeds. Unfortunately for Ashland, Diane refused to intercede with Kyle on his behalf.

Y&R Spoilers Recap: How Dare You
Earlier at Crimson Lights, Sharon (Sharon Case) read Ashland the riot act when he tried to express his condolences about Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). She told him to save it because anybody who would fake cancer and cause his family to be hurt was a person not worth knowing. The only positive thing? Ashland’s donation in Rey’s name, but she wasn’t letting him off the hook just because of $250 million.
As for Ashland, he seemed ready to cry after Sharon’s outburst. He also met with his lawyer in hopes of finding a way to have access to Harrison.
Y&R: Love Blooming?
Finally, Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) and Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) continued their flirting game at the coffee shop. Sharon was on hand to serve up a refreshing cool beverage and some delicious pastries. As for Noah and Allie? They bonded over their love of podcasts — especially Allie’s Great Uncle Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) offering. Oh goodie.
