The Y&R spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 9, 2022, brings big woes for the brothers Abbott as both Billy Abbott and Jack Abbott take a good hard look at things, and their sister, Traci Abbott is on hand to know everything. Plus, Lily Winters and Devon Hamilton talk family and business.
Billy (Jason Thompson) and Lily (Christel Khalil) enjoyed a meal out at Society, and she mentioned that she needed to see Devon (Bryton James) to get some baby time. However, Billy knows his girlfriend well enough to realize she also hoped to talk about the merger.
Billy advised Lily to keep the merger talk mum until Devon wanted to talk about it. Lily thought it was weird, and Billy continued to reassure her that he thinks the merger is the bees’ knees.
Billy showed up at the Abbott mansion to talk to his sister, Traci (Beth Maitland). He wanted to bend her ear about writer’s block, and Traci had a few tips. Her biggest for her brother was to start meditating, which he thought was a joke at first but ended up taking it seriously after she further explained herself.
Then, they talked about Lily’s big plan to merge Chancellor Industries with Hamilton Winters, and Traci could tell that the words Billy said didn’t match up with what he thought. Billy admitted that he worried he’d kept something from Lily about his personal concerns, and Traci advised him to be honest with his girlfriend.
Y&R Spoilers Recap: Baby Drama and Truth
Meanwhile, over at Devon’s penthouse, Lily helped him when Dominic seemed extra fussy. Her big advice? Call his pediatrician. That seemed to do the trick. All signs point to Dominic returning to normal, so the fussiness was a good sign. Okay.
After the baby details were out of the way, Devon brought up the merger. Lily tried to play it cool, but she clearly wanted to talk about it. While Devon had serious concerns, he did have a dream with Neil (Kristoff St. John), and he took that as a sign to not say no. So, instead, Devon said let’s start the podcast project and see how it goes. Ultimately, it’s a maybe on the whole merger.
She went home happy, but Billy’s happiness didn’t seem to match Lily’s. Although she tried to go to bed, Billy told her he had to tell her the truth. That’s when he confessed that businesswise he loved the merger idea, but personally, he worried he’d be left out in the cold. After all, he might be redundant if Devon brought over all his own people. Lily reassured her boyfriend that he’d always be her right-hand man, and that seemed good enough for now.
In Los Angeles, Jack (Peter Bergman) continued looking through Keemo’s house, reading more letters and wondering about his son. At one point, he thought he heard somebody outside but never saw anyone.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was at the hotel, and she answered a worried Traci’s phone call, updating Jack’s sister on what they’d discovered so far, which wasn’t much. Traci thanked Phyllis for being there for her brother, which is a pretty big deal considering Phyllis’s past with the Abbotts.
Phyllis ended up going back to Keemo’s and finding Jack. Before they left, he broke down and cried about the son he never knew and would never get to know (or perhaps it was because of the storyline?). Phyllis comforted her weeping friend.
