The Y&R spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 30, 2022, brings a major bombshell when Diane Jenkins reveals herself to an unsuspecting Jack Abbott in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Ashley Abbott returns home, sticking her nose into everyone’s business, Phyllis Summers stands up for Jack, Chance Chancellor gets his groove, er job, back, and Tessa Porter takes Noah Newman to task as Sharon Rosales worries.
Jack (Peter Bergman) had a lovely, if somewhat tense, dinner with Allie (Kelsey Wang). They ended on a high note, with Allie offering to meet again before he left L.A. However, when Allie went by her dad’s old place to give the new buyer a housewarming gift, Diane (Susan Walters) asked to meet Jack, so Allie called up her grandfather to ask him to stop by Keemo’s old house.
Jack happily obliged his granddaughter but seemed surprised that she’d asked him to the house she no longer owns. Allie explained that the owner wanted to meet him, which Jack felt even stranger about. Then, Diane walked in and said hello. Jack’s jaw hit the floor. It can’t be Diane Jenkins…oh, Jack, but it is.
Back in Genao City Ashley (Eileen Davidson) showed up, and she questioned Chance’s (Conner Floyd) decision to go back to work. Then, she took Abby (Melissa Ordway) to The Grand Phoenix for mani/pedis and to have a word with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford).
On the way, Ashley clued Abby in on all the updates with Jack and Keemo — and Allie. Then, they confronted Phyllis with Ashley insisting that she stop encouraging Jack to have a relationship with Allie. Phyllis stood up for her friend, warning Ashley not to ruin this for her brother. In a shocking twist, Abby sided with Phyllis, convincing Ashley to let Jack handle it his own way.
Meanwhile, Chance met with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) to tell him he wanted to return to work…again. Rey wasn’t overly impressed, but once he got word that Dr. Huffman was down with his partner’s return, Rey at least seemed more open to the idea. He still didn’t feel confident about Chance’s ability to fully perform in the heat of the moment, though. The duo trotted out to talk to a non-existent Paul Williams (Doug Davidson), who not surprisingly said yes…off-screen.
Although Abby seemed like she was faking it, she told Chance she was happy to have him return to work the following day. Chance is getting his whole life back, and he seems happy for once.
Finally, Sharon (Sharon Case) worried about Noah (Rory Gibson). Rey tried to soothe her concerns, and then Noah did the same. He spotted Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) walking onto the patio at Crimson Lights, so he took them pastries and shared some wedding design ideas.
The brides-to-be absolutely loved them, and Mariah went to make everybody celebratory lattes. That’s when Tessa demanded that Noah open up to her, but he tried to play her off. After she literally yelled at him, Noah admitted he had no idea what was going on with her.
