In this retro The Young and the Restless recap, it’s Wednesday, March 16, 2022, and Nate Hastings has what he believes to be a (metaphorical) smoking gun that will delight the Newman family. Plus, Nick Newman tried to convince Victoria of Ashland’s guilt, Sally Spectra turned to Sharon Rosales for details on Adam Newman, and the latter wondered about his father’s motives. Oh, and Lauren Fenmore Baldwin continued worrying about her husband.

The Young and the Restless Retro Recap Highlights

Nate (Sean Dominic) wasn’t at all concerned about Ashland’s (Robert Newman) veiled threats. He knew that Ashland faked his cancer, and Nate didn’t appreciate being played for the fool. He and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) discussed the whole situation, and he decided he had to tell the Newmans everything he knows despite the professional risk he was taking.

At Newman Media, Adam (Mark Grossman) wondered if Victor (Eric Braeden) was setting up Ashland. Perhaps Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) husband wasn’t lying this time. Why would Victor do that, though? Just as they were discussing the situation, Nate showed up to alert the men he had a smoking gun against Ashland.

Young and the Restless: She’s My Sister

At Newman Locke, Nick (Joshua Morrow) pleaded with his sister to see the light about her lying husband. Victoria wasn’t so sure, though. Ashland’s lied before — multiple times — but this time was different. Just as Nick was getting through to Victoria, Ashland showed up to put a stop to it, and Victoria hugged her husband.

A disgruntled Nick went to Crimson Lights, where he continued confiding in his ex-wife, Sharon (Sharon Case). Sharon supported Nick’s supporting Victoria.

Y&R Retro Recap: March 16, 2022

Speaking of Sharon, before that, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) showed up for a cup of coffee and some dirt on the dynamic between Adam and Victor. Sharon reluctantly shared what she knew because she’d noticed that Sally seemed to be good for Adam. Ultimately, Adam needed Victor’s approval and support, but Sally wondered if Adam would ever get what he needed from his father.

Y&R: Where’s Michael?

Sally stepped right in it when she let an upset Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman) know that Victor was doing everything he could to locate Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc). Oh great! Chloe Mitchell Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) had just managed to calm down Lauren.

Of course, Sally was the bad guy, even though she was just trying to let Lauren know the truth. After Lauren stormed out to go inform Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) about the new information, Sally asked Chloe and Chelsea if they could get a reset. Chelsea agreed to possibly be something like tolerant acquaintances…maybe.
