The Y&R spoilers recap for Monday, March 14, 2022, brings a brand new granddaughter for Jack Abbott, but Allie refuses his surprising offer. Plus, Ashland Locke begs for Nikki Newman’s support while Victor Newman gives Victoria Newman Locke damning evidence against her husband.
In Los Angeles, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) spoke with a confused Allie (Kelsey Wang). Allie revealed that Keemo Abbott AKA Hal Nguyen never mentioned Jack was his father. She also said that her mother and her father divorced a few years ago. However, Allie had grad school and a life in L.A.
She seemed stunned to find out she had a grandfather, and she didn’t like seeing her father’s unsent letters to Jack. After a bit of discussion, Allie decided she’d had enough, and she tried to leave, declaring she wanted nothing to do with Jack or his Genoa City Abbott family.
Jack stopped his granddaughter and offered her Luan Abbott’s necklace, but she refused. She wanted nothing to do with jewelry from her late grandmother and estranged grandfather. Allie also refused Jack’s offer of a relationship. Sorry, but no thanks, she said.
Phyllis encouraged her friend to open up to her about his emotions, so Jack told her how he felt. In some ways, he loved learning that he had a granddaughter in Allie, but of course, nothing could replace the relationship he’d lost out on with Keemo. It hurt Jack that Keemo never even told Allie about him at all.
Back in Genoa City, Ashland (Robert Newman) desperately wanted an ally. He’d hoped to find one in his mother-in-law Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). After all, don’t they both love Victoria (Amelia Heinle)? Don’t they both see that she’s happier and more in love than she’s ever been?
Sure, Nikki sees that, but she’s not willing to completely overlook the evidence that Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) sent Victor (Eric Braeden) about yet another lying scheme from Ashland. According to him, the whole thing is a lie made up by…someone.
All isn’t lost for Ashland, though. Nikki agreed to support him on one condition. If, and only if, Ashland provided evidence to back up his claims that the Peruvian doctor was lying to Michael. Surely you can do that Ashland. Right?
Meanwhile, at Newman-Locke, Victor went to see his daughter. He’d so desperately hoped to spare her the knowledge that her husband faked his cancer. Of course, Victoria let her daddy know that she was sick and tired of his awful accusations against her husband. Ashland would never…well, except those times that he did…but still. No.
Victoria wouldn’t stand for it for one second. Victor owed her and Ashland a huge apology. Still, Victor stood his ground, and he left a folder filled with all the evidence Michael had gathered. Oh, and he dropped the bombshell that Michael’s been missing for days in Peru, now, which seemed to give Victoria a pause.
While Victoria supported Ashland to her father, when her husband returned to the office with some food, Victoria had some questions. Why did a small company that Newman-Locke owned send payments to doctors in Peru? Oh, and why is Michael missing? Some of these things don’t add up, and Victoria wanted answers from Ashland.
