The Y&R spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 1, 2022, brings a stunning confession from Phyllis Summers, and Diane Jenkins crowed over Jack Abbott hearing it. Plus, Victor Newman talked Kyle Abbott and Summer Newman Abbott into a restraining order against Ashland Locke while the latter and Adam Newman sparred at Society.
Diane (Susan Walters) walked into Crimson Lights as Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Jack (Peter Bergman) smooched. Diane pointed out to them that Phyllis made eye contact with her before it happened and she just seems to inspire love. Jack stepped away, and the two women traded barbs. Then Phyllis stated that Jack hated Diane with the white-hot fury of 1000 suns. Of course, Diane pointed out how passionate that sounded.
When Jack returned, Phyllis grabbed onto Jack and took him back to her hotel for some adult fun in the afternoon. Of course, she also arranged for Diane to pick up her mail at a similar time, so she saw them right after. Jack wondered at the convenient timing of things lately. Diane also called her out on it too. Then, Jack walked back in as Phyllis yelled at Diane that yes, she marked her territory with Jack. He didn’t seem too thrilled.
At the Abbott mansion, Victor (Eric Braeden) visited with Summer (Allison Lanier) and Kyle (Michael Mealor). They surprised Victor by telling him they intended to stay in Genoa City. He told them that in that case, they should take out a restraining order against Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). After all, he hurt Harrison (Kellen Enriquez) with his whole fake cancer story too. After some thought, Kyle agreed with Summer and her grandfather.
Then, Victor pushed the couple to do the same when it came to Diane, but Kyle put his foot down. Absolutely not. He planned to give Diane a chance to have a relationship with him and his son.
In the park, Ashland ran into Harrison and his nanny. He tried to spend time with the boy, but Kyle and Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) showed up, and they informed him about the restraining order. Ashland firmly believed they were hurting Harrison with that, but Kyle wouldn’t relent. The Locke Ness Monster vowed to tear up the order because nothing would keep him from the boy.
Before the park, Adam (Mark Grossman) managed to get under Ashland’s skin a bit at Society. Adam suggested that they rename the restaurant as Ashland’s new business office since he was always there.
They traded some snarky comments, and Ashland gave as good as he got. He told Adam that the merging of Hamilton Winters and Chancellor Industries would destroy Newman Media. Adam also pushed some more about Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), and Ashland defended her. The younger man goaded Ashland into declaring he planned to get her to forgive him, which played right into Adam’s hands.
When Adam returned to Newman Media, he was surprised to find Victor there. Victor warned his son to stop moaning about not running Newman Enterprises. Then, Adam brought up his podcast idea and explained how successful Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) had been. Victor encouraged his son to go for it and make it so profitable that Victoria couldn’t nix it when she finally returned.
