The Y&R spoilers recap for Friday, July 29, 2022, brings life-changing news for Harrison Locke, and it’s not just about the death of his father Ashland Locke. Jack Abbott wasn’t altogether pleased with Kyle’s revelation either. Plus, Nick Newman smelled a rat when it came to Ashland’s demise, and Nikki Newman tried to talk him out of it. Chance Chancellor also seemed to feel something was rotten with the whole “accident.” Finally, it was Tessa Porter’s surgery day, and Mariah Copeland was worried.
Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights
Oh no! Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) had to tell Harrison (Kellen Enriquez) that Father died. For Kyle, it brought up lots of terrible memories about when Jack (Peter Bergman) had to tell him Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) died, and of course, she hadn’t really. That made him feel some kind of way, and he wasn’t so thrilled about it. Jack promised to help in whatever way he could.

Finally, the moment came to tell little Harrison that Ashland (Robert Newman) would never return, but Harrison said Father told him he was coming back. At that moment, Diane knocked on the door, and the little boy was thrilled to see his “Didi.”
Summer asked Diane to leave, but she ended up coming in and staying. Harrison was pleased to see her. Ultimately, before the moment ended, Kyle told the little boy that his Didi was more than just a good friend — she was his grandmother. Jack looked somewhat pained in the background when Kyle announced that news, though.
Young and the Restless: Family Ties
At Newman Enterprises, Chance (Conner Floyd) grilled Nick (Joshua Morrow) on Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) whereabouts. How dare she leave town when her house was part of an investigation? What kind of mother would pick her own children up from camp, and why wouldn’t Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) do it? Except that he’s out of town in business.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) blew into the office, emphasizing how much Chance’s help meant to Abby Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) SIBLINGS…your wife’s siblings, Chance, did you get that?

Nikki took Nick to Chancellor Park, and she informed him that he wasn’t the tiniest bit to blame for Ashland’s death. Nick wasn’t so sure, but Nikki firmly insisted.
Y&R Spoilers Recap: Worries
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) stopped by Crimson Lights, presumably on his way to Las Vegas. He spoke with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) for a bit, and they talked about Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), and Sharon seemed surprised that Adam and Sally hadn’t made up.
Adam left, and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) showed up after they’d gone for a walk. Both were anxious over Tessa’s surgery. Sharon gave her daughter-in-law a gift basket, and Tessa was touched. When she went upstairs to put it in their apartment, Mariah confessed to her mom that she was really worried about her wife’s procedure. Sharon managed to calm her down.
Later, Nick stopped by, and he gave Sharon the news about Ashland. He shared his concerns about how fishy the accident seemed. Sharon tried to talk him out of his worries, though. After all, J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) had lived through something similar.
Y&R: Scratch That
In Chancellor Park, Adam was just about to leave for Vegas when he happened across Chance, who spilled the news about Ashland to him. For some reason, that made Adam cancel his big trip.
