The Y&R spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 20, 2022, brings an epiphany for Adam Newman when he tries to team up with Ashland Locke. Plus, Sally Spectra gets an unexpected chance from Nick Newman and Victoria Newman, and later, they wonder what their mother is up to when they catch her meeting with Ashley Abbott and Phyllis Summers. Finally, Jack Abbott advises Allie Nguyen on love…because…well, reasons.
Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights
Well, Adam (Mark Grossman) tried his hardest to suck up to Ashland (Robert Newman) to find out what he has planned next for the Newmans. While Ashland might have been born at night (we’re not sure), he certainly wasn’t born last night.

He learned his lesson after Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) turned on him to score some brownie points with the Newmans and the Abbotts. Now, the Locke-Ness Moster plans to go it alone regarding his revenge plot.
However, something Ashland said during their discussion made him realize that Ashland planned to go after Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Adam considered giving his big sister a heads up but she wasn’t in her office. Instead, he screened a call from Sally (Courtney Hope).
Young and the Restless: A Second Chance
Speaking of Sally, she fully expected to get the boot from Newman Media. However, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria surprised her. They’re giving her a chance to prove herself. As a trial, of course. Sally gets 90 days as interim CEO.
Victoria suggested she hire a strong COO with big connections in the business. However, Sally informed the surprised siblings that she’d already hired Chloe Mitchell Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson). It seems like Sally and Chloe will sink or swim together.

Y&R Spoilers Recap: A Scary Sight
Later, Nick and Victoria’s eyebrows raised when they walked in on Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) at a table with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson). Before Nikki’s children arrived, the three women discussed the Disappear Diane Club.
At one point, Ashley asked Phyllis if she was okay because the latter was really freaking out over Diane. Phyllis said she was fine. Ultimately, the three women agreed that they needed to show Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier), and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) evidence instead of suspicions about Diane. They concluded that the evidence might have something to do with Allie (Kelsey Wang).
Y&R: Young Love
As for Allie, Jack walked in on her and Noah Newman’s (Rory Gibson) first kiss. Awkward. Later, Jack and Allie talked, and she told him how happy she was about the direction her life is going. He gave her some advice about love — namely, to enjoy it.
Noah stopped by Crimson Lights, and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) was happy to see her son smiling even though he was dreading telling Nick about his plans to leave New Hope.
