The Y&R spoilers recap for Tuesday, February 28, 2022, brings Lily Winters’s huge new idea, but will her brother Devon Hamilton go for it? Plus, Billy Abbott realizes he’s once again on the outside looking in, and his brother Jack Abbott makes a decision despite Traci Abbott’s dire warnings.
Jill Foster Abbott Atkinson (Jess Walton) joined Lily (Christel Khalil) via video call. She just loved Lily’s huge, life-changing idea. Next, Lily needed to get Devon (Bryton James) on board with it. She also let Billy (Jason Thompson) in on the idea right before Devon, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), and Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) arrived. Billy seemed shocked to find out what his girlfriend had planned.
Speaking of shocked, Devon seemed blindsided by Lily’s big new plan to merge Chancellor Industries with Hamilton Winters. After all, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) wanted his children to work together, so what better way to do it than at Chancellor Winters?
Devon admitted he needed time to consider the idea. Imani tried to ask lots of questions, but Amanda told her right now they just needed to listen and the time for hashing things out would come later. That didn’t seem to sit too well with Imani.
Meanwhile, Billy felt stymied by the podcast. He dealt with technical difficulties and the inability to say what he meant. Since the soap built a special podcast set, it seems like Billy should get himself together regarding the incessant talking soon.
Ultimately, after the meeting with Devon and crew, Billy finally had something to say. He noted that his girlfriend was the smartest, best businesswoman in all the land. She had a lovely idea to create a big family business, which is amazing. Of course, Billy isn’t really family in any meaningful way, so he found himself once again on the outside looking in.
Speaking of family, after the meeting with Lily, Amanda told Devon how much the big merger appealed to her. Sure it’d be messy, but it’d be one big happy family business, which is wonderful. She never got to experience family. Remember?
Also, she praised Devon again for what a great dad he is to Dominic, and the two discussed the little boy spending even more time at their place. Does Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) know these plans?
Jack (Peter Bergman) bemoaned his never making up with Keemo, and now it’s all too late. Traci (Beth Maitland) felt suitably upset for her brother, and she mourned the loss of her nephew in her own right.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) seemed more interested in figuring out who sent those mysterious text messages and why. Traci warned that the whole thing seemed like a scam. Phyllis pushed Jack to go to Los Angeles, and Traci warned him not to go. Ultimately, Jack declared his intentions to follow up on the texts and go to L.A.
