The Y&R spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 3, 2022, brings Phyllis Summers laying it all on the line for her daughter Summer Newman Abbott. Plus, Devon Hamilton and Nate Hastings clash yet again over work, and Sally Spectra gets some interesting information from Chloe Mitchell Fisher, which she relays to Nick Newman.
Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) was wearing Marchetti, and she really worked hard to sell Summer (Allison Lanier) on the idea of them working together. She even admitted that she might sell The Grand Phoenix to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), which shocked Summer, considering the hotel is her mother’s “baby.”
The mother/daughter duo enjoyed some time together at the rooftop bar, and Phyllis asked after Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez). Summer relayed he was doing as well as could be expected. Of course, Phyllis couldn’t resist bringing up Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), which earned her a frustrated look from Summer. Phyllis’s phone buzzed with a text from Ashley about bringing down Diane, and before their time together ended, Summer promised to ask Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) about bringing Phyllis aboard at Marchetti — why she had to ask his permission about hiring we’re not sure.
Young and the Restless: Too Soon
At Society, Nate (Sean Dominic) met with Devon (Bryton James) and Amanda (Mishael Morgan). He yelled at reporters on the phone as he walked in, and both Amanda and Devon looked concerned. Nate revealed it was about Ashland’s death. They expressed their condolences, and Nate said he wasn’t mourning Ashland but did respect human life.
Later, Nate and Devon clashed once again over work when Devon wanted details on how PR planned to handle the festival double booking. Nate flew off the handle, and Devon wondered if he’d transitioned to a new job too quickly. Nate left and went to Crimson Lights for some to-go coffees before heading home.
Y&R Spoilers Recap: Slow Down
Nick (Joshua Morrow) talked with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) at Chancellor Park. He reiterated that he felt that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) had done something to Ashland’s body. He just didn’t feel right about the official version of Ashland’s death. Sharon tried to reassure Nick that it was possible Ashland got up and walked out and crashed his car, but he still wasn’t buying it.
At Newman Media, Sally (Courtney Hope) got some news from Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) about Nick and Ashland’s physical fight the night of the latter’s death. Sally wasn’t so surprised, which Chloe noticed. Ultimately, Sally admitted that Nick had already given her a heads up, but he hadn’t told her the whole story. Chloe advised Sally to proceed with caution and really think things through, and Sally assured her new Chief Operation Officer that she would. Then, Sally texted Nick.
Y&R: You Have A Point
At the park, Nick received Sally’s text and left Sharon. He arrived at Newman Media quickly, and Sally confronted him about the fight he and Ashland had at Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) house. She warned him that Newman Media should get out in front of the matter before others got wind of it. Otherwise, it’d look like they were trying to cover something up, and Nick looked thoughtful about the whole thing.
