The Y&R spoilers recap for Monday, August 22, 2022, brings a surprising warning for Victor Newman from Adam Newman. Plus, Billy Abbott helps Victoria Newman rid her home of Ashland Locke’s “bad juju,” Abby Chancellor apologizes to Chance Chancellor, and Sharon Rosales helps Nick Newman come to terms with killing Ashland.
Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) returned to her empty house, and memories of the night Ashland (Robert Newman) died haunted her. As she relived the scary moments, Billy (Jason Thompson) knocked on the door.

He hugged Victoria, and they talked a bit. He noticed her wording on the investigation into Ashland’s death being closed, and Billy asked Victoria to be straight with him. Ultimately, she told him the truth about what happened that night. Victoria expressed her concern for Nick (Joshua Morrow), though.
Ultimately, Billy declared he wouldn’t shed a tear for Ashland. To get rid of the bad juju in the house, they remembered the good times, but then they also remembered some of the bad times, like Victoria’s struggle to have a baby and then Delia’s death. Victoria found comfort in being able to get through the difficult times and still feel at home in her “Father Knows Best” house — realizing that she could get through anything. Billy complimented his ex-wife on where she is in life, and then they toasted to new beginnings.
Young and the Restless: Family First
At Crimson Lights, Nick told Sharon (Sharon Case) what Chance (Conner Floyd) decided. She was happy, and Nick still seemed agitated. Sharon promised to help guide Nick through his feelings about killing Ashland. He admitted how badly shaken he was due to causing Ashland’s death, but Sharon reiterated that Nick didn’t take Ashland’s life on purpose.

Meanwhile, at Society, Abby (Melissa Ordway) was thrilled to hear that Chance closed the investigation. Unfortunately, she thought it meant her father was innocent, but Chance soon set her straight — the evidence was circumstantial, and Chance decided he couldn’t waste GCPD resources on it. Even so, he asked Abby to stop acting like it was a win. She apologized to Chance for pushing her family-first idea.
Y&R Spoilers Recap: Another Shoe Waiting To Drop
At the ranch, Adam (Mark Grossman) showed up full of snark and rudeness for Victor (Eric Braeden). After sidestepping a number of pointed comments from his son, Victor declared Adam wouldn’t be able to goad him because he was happy. Ultimately, Adam realized that Victor was happy over Chance closing the investigation, and he figured out that Victor was hiding something.
Finally, Victor told Adam to stop beating around the bush and ask his question straight out. So, Adam asked his dad if he was covering for Nick or Victoria. Adam railed that all the Newmans had to do was follow his original plan, and Ashland would’ve been out of town and out of their lives. Then he warned Victor that another shoe was out there waiting to drop.
