Y&R Spoilers Recap For August 2: Victor Sets Off Adam’s Spidey Senses

The Y&R spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 2, 2022, brings Adam Newman’s Spidey senses tingling as he realizes Victor Newman is hiding something related to Ashland Locke’s death. Speaking of that, Sally Spectra also realizes something isn’t quite as it seems when she talks to Nick Newman, as does Nick’s son Noah Newman, and of course, Chance Chancellor for sure feels like something’s off.

Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights

Ding dong Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) is dead. Adam (Mark Grossman) makes light of it, and Victor (Eric Braeden) isn’t pleased with his son’s cavalier remarks. Of course, The Mustache isn’t going to pretend to mourn the guy either.

Adam isn’t buying what Victor is selling, though. That doesn’t make Victor too happy. In fact, his youngest son is starting to piss him off just a little bit, and Victor puts Adam on blast, which of course, only further intrigues him. Adam did do Victor the favor of relaying that Chance (Conner Floyd) wasn’t so convinced about Ashland’s car crash.

Young and the Restless: More To The Story

Sally (Courtney Hope) showed up at Newman Enterprises to let Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) know that she has decided to stay at Newman Media. Nick was happy to hear she’d changed her mind, and he apologized for treating her poorly the night before at Crimson Lights.

While she was there, she got a news alert that Ashland had died. Nick warned her there was more to the story, but it needed to stay out of whatever Newman Media covered. Then he told her details off the record. Sally agreed to restrict the Ashland story to strictly the facts.

Y&R Spoilers Recap: Autopsy

Speaking of the facts, Chance met with Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and asked him to befriend the medical examiner in an attempt to get Ashland’s autopsy fast-tracked. Kevin was happy to oblige, and before the end of the day, Kevin even had the report. It seems Ashland died of blunt force trauma when his head hit the windshield — probably.

Before that, Chance had texted Nick to meet at Crimson Lights patio and updated him on the case. Chance noted that the stories he got from Victor’s security team seemed too pat, but Nick suggested he talk with Victor and not him.

Y&R: Not Quite Romeo And Juliet

Before Adam showed up to talk to Victor, Noah (Rory Gibson) arrived late for his meeting with his grandpa. The two met at Society because…where else would a business mogul do business, duh? Victor loved Noah’s ideas, but the Top of the Tower needed to stay a restaurant. Victor invited Noah to come back to the family business after he’d learned more things and spread his wings.

Noah went to the rooftop bar to meet Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang), and he had to tell her Victor shot him down. She suggested he try Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) next, which didn’t excite him. Then, he got the news that Ashland had died, and he noted it was weird his grandpa hadn’t told him, which made him think something strange had happened.

Allie asked him some more about the history of their families, and Noah obliged. He wanted his girlfriend to know what she was getting herself into.
