The Y&R spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 6, 2022, brings twists and turns as Diane Jenkins attempts to worm her way into Jack Abbott’s life again, and she finds an unexpected confidant in Allie Nguyen. Plus, Ashley Abbott is back in Genoa City, and she’s none too thrilled with Allie, and she doesn’t even know about Diane yet.

Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) was back in town, and she met with Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). She told them that she suspected Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) isn’t entirely trustworthy. No specific reason except that Allie is a chemist just like her father — totally shocking.

Traci chimed in that maybe this is Jack’s moment and he’ll have everything he’s ever wanted and needed along with a relationship with Allie. Billy seemed to see both Ashley and Traci’s points. In the end, they all agreed that Jack is a grown-up, so they’ll support him. Of course, none of them have a clue what Jack really found in Los Angeles.

Young and the Restless: No Forgiveness

Poor, poor Diane (Susan Walters). She’s clearly the victim here. She magnanimously sent those texts to Jack (Peter Bergman) to connect him with Allie, but he can’t muster up even one ounce of forgiveness for Diane…perhaps they’ve both changed, and Diane insinuated that in Jack’s case it wasn’t for the better. Jack expressed his fury at Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) grieving his dead mother for no reason.

As for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), well, she’s doing great, learned from her mistakes, and has become a beacon of maturity and grace in Genoa City…something Diane would know nothing at all about. Diane tried to accept what Phyllis dished without lashing out, but it took a lot of effort. Phyllis accused Diane of emotional blackmail.

Diane kept pushing buttons and using Keemo’s death to accuse Jack of making poor decisions for his sons. Phyllis intervened and insisted they leave. Then, she literally dragged Jack out the door. As they left, Diane wished them good luck on making things work this time around.

Y&R Spoilers Recap: Nothing Has Changed

Phyllis and Jack took a break at the cafe, and she seemed flabbergasted that Diane truly was alive even though Jack had told her. Phyllis noted that nothing with Diane had changed at all — now the woman just hides it better.

Then, after some flashback memories, Jack felt regret for not listening to and helping Diane before she faked her death. However, Phyllis insisted that Diane had always used Kyle as a pawn, but she insisted that he let Kyle know his mom is alive.

When Jack continued resisting, Phyllis brought out the big guns — Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). But, Diane is different, Jack insisted. However, Phyllis continued being the voice of reason. Kyle needs Jack’s love and support to get past what Diane did. So, Jack tried to lure Kyle back to Genoa City for some family time, which he felt wasn’t much different than all of Diane’s subterfuge.

Y&R: The Whole Sordid Tale

Allie showed back up at Diane’s, and although Diane attempted to manipulate Allie into opening up about her mother, Jack’s granddaughter insisted that Diane tell her all about the Abbott family. Of course, that involved explaining the bizarre way in which Jack ended up being Kyle’s father. Yes, Allie thought it sounded crazy.

Then, Diane twisted things around to pretend that getting herself out of the picture made things better for Kyle regarding the Abbotts accepting him into their family. Now all poor Diane wants is a little understanding and forgiveness. She promises Allie that she’ll be part of a wonderful, big family when the Abbotts accept her as their newest member.
