Y&R Recap: Victor Asks Adam To Join An Alliance

The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, October 23, 2023, brings Victor asking Adam to be his ally at Newman Enterprises.

Chloe encouraged Sally to make things right with Nick, while Sharon advised Nick to settle things with Sally’s business. Finally, Adam found a doodle his father had drawn. Young and the Restless: Support

At Newman Media, Claire (Hayley Erin) told Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) that she had arranged for a massage therapist to meet her at home. Nikki appreciated the care Claire showed for her, and Claire expressed her happiness with working for Nikki, stating that she had waited a long time for this opportunity. Ultimately, Nikki called Claire an “angel.”

After Nikki left, Claire stared at a photo of Nikki and Victoria, contemplating something beneath the surface. Later, in her suite at the GCAC, Claire sipped wine and went through a stack of Newman press articles.

Adam (Mark Grossman) walked into the GCAC, where Victor (Eric Braeden) called him over to the bar, complimented his appearance, and praised his performance. Victor expressed his suspicions that Nate might be conspiring with Victoria to push him out of the company. Adam, curious about the motive, learned that Victor believed Victoria was trying to make it seem like he was losing his mental faculties.

Victor relayed that Nick was considering a return to Newman to keep an eye on Victoria. Adam, uneasy about this revelation, questioned his brother’s motives. Victor asked for Adam’s support, and they shook on it.

Young and the Restless Recap: Business

At Society, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) found Sally (Courtney Hope) sitting alone, hoping she had resolved things with Nick and moved on from Adam. Sally revealed that Nick was avoiding her, and Chloe wondered why she was giving Adam so much power. Sally explained her unresolved feelings for Adam, and Chloe urged her to fix things with Nick before losing him and her new business.

At Crimson Lights, Nick (Joshua Morrow) confided in Sharon (Sharon Case) about his concerns regarding his father’s recent memory lapses. Sharon suggested setting up a meeting to assess Victor’s well-being. Nick, determined to monitor his father, insisted on handling it himself.

Sharon also encouraged Nick to settle things with Sally – especially her business. Nick agreed, and he called Sally to meet him. Sally thanked Nick for calling, and Chloe encouraged her to view the meeting as a potentially life-changing moment. 

Y&R Recap: Doodle

At a jazz club, Nikki discussed Claire’s drama-free nature and got annoyed when Victor seemed preoccupied with something else. Victor told his wife about his conversation with Adam, where he shared his suspicions about Victoria and Nate plotting against him. Obviously, Nikki felt that Adam was the one plotting…not Victoria.

Sally showed up at the GCAC and encountered Adam at the bar. He expressed concern for her and couldn’t shake off what she had said earlier. Nick’s arrival heightened tensions, and Adam expressed his displeasure at Sally meeting his brother. After Adam left, Sally and Nick had a business conversation, with Nick assuring her that he still believed in her talent.

At Newman Enterprises, Adam poured himself a drink and looked through the desk drawers. He found a doodle of Victor’s – a drawing of a snake with words written on it, and he wondered about Victor’s mysterious behavior.
