The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, October 18, 2023, brings Mamie pushing Nate to return to Chancellor-Winters.

Also in this episode, Phyllis demanded answers from Tucker, and later, Audra told him their plan was on. Jack and Billy decided to hit Tucker where it hurt. Diane warned Kyle off of Audra, and Traci advised Jack to give Kyle what he deserved — starting from the bottom. Now let’s dig deeper into what happened.
Young and the Restless: Family Matters
Aunt Mamie (Veronica Redd) and Nate (Sean Dominic) talked over drinks at the jazz club. She wanted to know about the chaos at Newman, but Nate wasn’t interested in chatting about returning to Chancellor-Winters.
Nate reminded her that Lily and Devon weren’t interested in having him around, but Mamie insisted that time could work wonders. However, Nate also didn’t want to be where his ideas weren’t valued, but Mamie still wanted to change his mind.

Mamie promised she was motivated about bringing Devon, Lily, and Nate together, but Nate didn’t see it happening. He praised his personal and professional relationship with Victoria, and he wasn’t interested in leaving her side.
Mamie pointed out Nate would never be family at Newman, but Nate said that things didn’t go well at Chancellor-Winters. Mamie pointed out that Jill was an outlier since Lily and Devon ran the company without much input from Jill. Mamie painted a picture of Lily, Devon, and Nate becoming a new power generation.
Nate accused Mamie of a coup against Jill, and he warned his aunt that Jill wouldn’t be easy to remove. After some cryptic remarks, Nate wanted to know what his aunt wasn’t telling him. She didn’t answer, but she wanted to nail him down on if he’d return to Chancellor-Winters. Nate said he was happy at Newman Enterprises but reluctantly agreed to think about it.
Young and the Restless Recap: Plans
At his suite, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) goaded Tucker (Trevor St. John) about uncovering his connection to Mamie. He played it off as nothing, but Phyllis thought Jill, Devon, and Lily would want to know. Phyllis wondered if Tucker had plans to take over Chancellor-Winters.
Tucker mocked Phyllis for wanting Jack’s approval, but she didn’t bite. Instead, Phyllis connected the dots of what Tucker had done with moving money to Mamie’s company. Tucker acted cool, but Phyllis suggested she take the details to Devon. He just wanted to know what was in the whole thing for Phyllis. All Phyllis wanted was for Tucker to leave her alone.
Audra (Zuleyka) knocked on the door, and Phyllis answered, wondering why the younger woman was there. Phyllis warned her to stop using people in Genoa City. Tucker interrupted and said goodbye to Phyllis. After Phyllis left, Audra had questions, but Tucker was cagey about it.

As they talked, Tucker picked up on Audra’s use of “our” when talking about plans. Audra said she was interested in pursuing Jabot, and she complained about Nikki’s new “creepy” assistant. Tucker suggested Audra was just jealous of Claire Grace.
Audra explained she’d offered Kyle the top spot at Jabot alongside herself. However, Tucker felt she’d overplayed her hand in going that far, but Audra disagreed. Tucker warned her that she had a blind spot for Kyle and said she shouldn’t fall for him.
Later, Tucker walked downstairs and greeted Mamie, wishing her a good night.
Y&R Recap: Entitled
At the Abbotts, Kyle (Michael Mealor) heard from Jack (Peter Bergman) and Billy (Jason Thompson) about the listening device and the damaging information they had. Jack said they planned to expose Tucker, but Kyle warned they might be igniting a war. Kyle noted that his dad and uncle were working together, and Jack encouraged them all to pull together as a family.
Billy left, and Jack wanted to secure Kyle’s support, which Kyle reluctantly gave. Kyle refused to talk with Jack about working at Jabot. Traci (Beth Maitland) and Diane (Susan Walters) walked in laughing, and Kyle excused himself. Jack revealed Kyle thought he was slighting him.
Kyle ended up on the patio at Crimson Lights, and he flashed back to Audra’s proposition. Diane walked in, wanting to talk. Kyle complained that there was no way he’d take Billy’s place at Jabot, and he said he realized it was important for Jack to see his brother. He admitted that he had received an offer, and Diane told him to follow the path that was best for him…unless it went to Audra. Kyle told his mom to back off and stop harping on his relationship with Audra. Kyle compared Audra to his mom, and he left.
Back at the mansion, Traci urged Jack to open up to her about his argument with Kyle, so Jack admitted his son wasn’t happy about the way his job ended at Marchetti. Jack worried his son was making bad decisions, but he couldn’t give Kyle the co-CEO position at Jabot, which surprised Traci.
Traci told Jack the whole problem might be how Kyle felt Jack saw him. Jack said he’d given Kyle more than he deserved since he didn’t have his son spend time climbing the ladder and building business skills. He worried that Kyle was arrogant and entitled.
Traci wondered if Jack could figure out what Kyle really deserved at Jabot, and Jack suggested Kyle had to start from the bottom and work his way up. Unknown to Jack, Kyle walked in and overheard his father’s declaration that he must pay his dues. Kyle texted Audra to meet.
