The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, September 29, 2023, brings Jack calling out Phyllis and pushing her to find out Tucker’s plans.

Also in this episode, Daniel and Danny called out Phyllis to make a real change. Audra called out Tucker on his reasons for retaliating against the Abbotts. Billy and Diane clashed over positions at Jabot. Finally, Billy confronted Tucker with the email dirt he got on him.
Young and the Restless: Revenge
Billy (Jason Thompson), Jack (Peter Bergman), and Diane (Susan Walters) discussed the money transfer. He reminded his brother that Phyllis needed money, which made her dangerous. Jack wondered why it was all on Billy, though, and Billy didn’t know.
Billy asked what happened with Adam, and Jack had forgotten to even check to see what it was so he did. He told his brother Adam had given them the motherlode, and Jack relayed the details. Billy didn’t believe that Adam would hand the information over for free, though. Billy wanted to tell Tucker they had the upper hand, and Jack agreed. However, Billy wanted to know if his brother believed he could embezzle money from the company, and Jack said he didn’t.

Tucker (Trevor St. John) flashed back to a conversation with Audra (Zuleyka Silver). He and Audra ordered coffee from Esther (Kate Linder), and she gave them a chilly reception. On the patio, Audra told Tucker that Nikki had warned her off of him.
Audra told him about Nikki offering to mentor her, but Tucker warned her that wasn’t a good move. Tucker remained certain he would take Jabot away from the Abbotts, but Audra wasn’t so sure. She warned they would immediately know he was behind it, but Tucker admitted that’s precisely what he wanted because it was merely a diversion.
Tucker spelled things out for Audra. He told her that the Abbotts cost him McCall since he’d sold everything to be with Ashley, and they convinced her to dump him. Tucker vowed to take everything away from the Abbotts. Audra accused Tucker of seeking retribution for the wrong reasons, and she suggested he’d go back to Ashley if she crooked her finger.
Tucker denied it. He said he couldn’t trust Ashley, and he suggested she had the plan from the very beginning of their recent reunion. Audra still didn’t buy it, and she said it looked like Ashley had been in love with Tucker, and she said Tucker was still in love with Ashley. Ultimately, Tucker clarified that nothing would stop him from dismantling the Abbotts.
Young and the Restless Recap: Changes
At the jazz club bar, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Danny (Michael Damian) caught up. As they talked, Danny called her out on faking her death, and Phyllis blamed it all on Jeremy Stark. He didn’t believe she was going to change her life, but Phyllis insisted she cared what he thought and wondered what she had to do to convince him she was committed to changing.

Daniel (Michael Graziadei) joined them, and he asked his mom if she had considered his job offer. Phyllis said she was thinking about it. Danny pushed her to take their son’s offer. They were both hard on her about not changing.
She updated them that she’d “found the account” that Jeremy had hidden, so she paid off her debts to the insurance company. They didn’t seem to believe it. Ultimately, Phyllis agreed to take Daniel’s job at Omegasphere if she didn’t get a job with Nick and Sharon.
As they talked, Jack walked in, glaring at Phyllis, and he asked to talk privately. Daniel and Danny left, and Jack called out Phyllis on hacking Jabot for Tucker. Phyllis denied it, and she told Jack that she didn’t have to listen to him. She was tired of being everybody’s punching bag. “You and everybody else here can go straight to Hell,” Phyllis said.
Phyllis told Jack that she wasn’t doing anything to hurt him. Jack demanded that Phyllis help him find out what Tucker was up to.
At a table at the GCAC, Danny and Daniel caught up. Daniel admitted he was “better than good,” but Phyllis was the only conflict in his life. Danny said he’d stick around for a few months and that he’d hoped to see Christine. Daniel said that Christine was in Lisbon with Paul because they were trying to work things out.
Young and the Restless Recap: Confrontation
At the GCAC bar, Billy had a drink as he flashed back to Jack and Tucker talking to him about the power of running Jabot on his own. Diane joined him. She wanted to know if Billy and Jack had a plan to deal with Tucker, but Billy told her to talk to Jack. Diane noted Billy still didn’t trust her.
As they talked, she wondered how close Billy came to switching sides. Billy said he’d started to fall for it, but he caught himself.
Billy knocked on Tucker’s door at the suite, and he confronted Tucker about trying to set him up. He let Tucker know they had the email evidence, and Billy threatened to use them to crush him unless he backed off.
