Young and the Restless: Elephant In The Room

Billy wasn’t too happy to talk to Chelsea about what happened in Myanmar. However, she wanted to hold herself accountable. She asked Billy not to excuse her inexcusable actions. Chelsea explained that Billy was just another mark to her, and she pointed out that she’d drugged him and he didn’t do anything wrong. However, she did. Chelsea admitted that the sex she had with Billy while he was high out of his mind wasn’t consensual, and she was wrong.

Billy tried to play the whole thing off, but Chelsea tearfully refused to let him. She expressed her sincere sorrow that things happened the way they did, and that she took advantage of Billy in such a state. Ultimately, Billy said he wouldn’t change anything because of Johnny, who he loves. Billy also tearfully mentioned something like that happening to Johnny, and both parents cried.

Chelsea declared that Billy and Johnny deserved better. She admitted that it’d been a release to finally get all the things she hated about herself off her chest and not allow them to control her. Billy said it was all worth it, then, and that he’d moved on. Most importantly, though, Johnny was healthy and thriving. Billy asked Chelsea if she would do the same thing she’d done again, and she said no. Billy appreciated that Chelsea made amends, and she didn’t ask for forgiveness for the unforgivable, and she said Billy had given her more than she deserved.

Downstairs at Crimson Lights, Sharon talked to Connor when he got home from school. Johnny showed up, and they talked science a bit. Sharon made sure both boys got a hot chocolate. As the boys took a seat, Chance showed up, and Sharon greeted him happily. He updated her on his divorce.

Sharon took the boys their drinks, and Johnny noted how Connor got special attention at the coffee shop and promised to hang out more often. Later, Sharon refilled Chance’s coffee cup, and he pointed out how easily the boys just rolled with it after learning they were biological half-brothers instead of cousins. Chance admitted that he was worried the most about Dominic with all the changes that come with his divorce — he felt like a failure. Sharon reassured him, though.

At their seats, the boys compared notes about their moms, and then Sharon and Chance considered going over to ask them what was making them smile. They did just that, and Chance asked Connor and Johnny to teach him how to play the video game they were playing.

Y&R Recap: Devil’s Advocate

Lily and Daniel talked about her concerns over Billy. Daniel pointed out how Billy had destructive habits, but Lily said she wasn’t sure if she was in the wrong since Billy was helping a woman who was sick. Lily complained that Billy had made himself the center of the woman’s universe. She worried she was heartless, but Daniel summed it up by saying she sounded like a woman whose boyfriend was showing up for somebody else while not paying attention to her.

Daniel couldn’t understand why Lily was so involved with Billy. She pointed out Billy’s good qualities, while Daniel mentioned all his negative attributes. Daniel asked if Billy was falling into old patterns, and Lily said that was exactly what was happening. She admitted it felt great to talk to somebody about her issues with Billy. Daniel said that Lily was too nice, which kept her from admitting that Billy’s choices weren’t compatible with a long-term relationship.

Daniel played Devil’s advocate, though. He asked what if Billy was nobler than anybody knew, and what if the woman needed him to be this involved to make it through her issues. Lily pointed out that the woman’s reliance on Billy made him feel good — white knight syndrome. She wanted Daniel to tell her she was wrong and misread the situation, but Daniel said he couldn’t. He pointed out that she couldn’t change Billy — or anyone else.

Lily expressed how happy she was that she and Daniel were still friends despite everything they’d been through in the past. She admitted that she wanted to believe that she and Billy could work through their rough patch, but Daniel said that Lily deserved to be happy.

Y&R Recap: No Family Of Mine

Victoria and Nate talked about their upcoming business trip, and she was taken aback by his inviting Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) to go with them. However, he got the news that Elena had to stay in Genoa City to cover for some ill doctors at the hospital. Devon interrupted them, saying he needed to speak with Nate alone.

Nate noted he was in a meeting, but Victoria said it was over and left. Nate wanted to know what the emergency was, and Devon told his cousin that he’d lost the right to involve himself in his personal or professional life, so it wasn’t his business what happened between him and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan). Devon was mad that Nate asked Imani Benedict about what happened between him and Amanda. Nate continued poking the bear over what happened with Amanda.

Devon remained unmoved, though. Nate started connecting the dots, with Amanda and Chance going to Devon’s and then things being over immediately after that. Devon didn’t believe Nate’s concern was genuine, but Nate insisted it was, and he pointed out that Devon was a hypocrite. Nate wondered what Devon had done that was so incendiary that Devon was afraid he’d find out. Devon declared that he doesn’t owe Nate anything at all — not even respect. Nate invited Devon not to show up at his work again.

Abby took Dominic to Daddy Devon’s house, and they sat down to wait for him to return, making themselves at home. She told Dominic about his Aunt Lily and his Grandpa Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John). She also explained that her relationship with Daddy Devon also went way back. Abby apologized to Dominic about how weird things were, and then she told him about Brad Carlton (Don Diamont) — her second dad.
