Also in this episode, Ashley struck out at gaining Tucker’s confidence. Billy told Jack and Ashley he suspects Tucker got to Kyle. Sally and Nick talked about Victor’s situation. Nate suggested Victor take a leave of absence. Adam pushed Nick to join him as the specialist listened to Victor while they had drinks. Now let’s dig deeper into what happened.
At the Abbott mansion, Billy (Jason Thompson) confronted Kyle (Michael Mealor) for coming after his position, and Billy let his nephew know he was doing a good job as the co-CEO. He put Kyle on notice that he wasn’t going anywhere.

Kyle snarked at Billy for always imploding, and Billy told Kyle he was acting like a spoiled brat. He also pointed out that Kyle was hurting Jack with the way he was acting. Kyle whined that Jack chose Summer over him. Suddenly, Kyle admitted that Billy was right about him acting spoiled and entitled, but Billy didn’t quite buy that.
Jack (Peter Bergman) walked in, wondering what was going on. Kyle told his dad that he’d decided to head in another direction, but he remained cagey about his next steps. He also apologized to his dad for trying to make him choose between him and Billy, which Jack appreciated. However, he wanted Kyle to accept COO, but Kyle said that was just a consolation prize, but he wanted something meaningful.
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) greeted a sulky Tucker (Trevor St. John) at Society. He wasn’t very friendly, though, and she seemed stunned when he announced he’d started annulment proceedings. She apologized again and said she wanted to remain cordial…for the sake of Dominic.
Tucker said he didn’t trust Ashley or her motives, though, and he told her she was wasting her time. He called her out on wanting to know his revenge plan, and he said maybe he didn’t want anything from her or her family. Ashley didn’t buy it, though, and she let him know he wasn’t the new and improved Tucker. He declined to let her know if he was or wasn’t planning anything.
They continued arguing, and Ashley asked Tucker to acknowledge that he was wrong in Paris for how he treated her after she refused to choose him over her family. She wondered if he ever really loved her. Tucker congratulated Ashley on a wonderful performance, and he declared he would forever be suspicious of her.
“Congratulations, Ashley. You’ve managed to push me away completely,” Tucker said as he angrily left. She teared up, and outside, Tucker sobbed.
At the Abbott mansion, after more talking, Kyle thanked Billy for helping him see things more clearly and left. Jack wondered how that happened, and Billy warned he doubted Kyle’s sincerity. Ashley walked in as Billy and Jack discussed the situation, and she wondered if they’d heard from Tucker. They updated her on Kyle, and she let them know Tucker didn’t trust her. Billy again suggested that Tucker might have gotten to Kyle.
Tucker drank in his room, and Kyle knocked on the door. He asked the younger man to prove himself, and Kyle said he was ready to do it.
Sally (Courtney Hope) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) had an awkward run-in at the GCAC. She thanked him for funding her business. Nick didn’t seem too pleased when she asked after Victor because he realized Adam was the one who told her.
Nick and Sally went up to her suite to talk about Victor out of public to protect the business. She offered some empathy, and Nick spoke badly about Adam’s motivations for telling Sally. However, she asked not to talk about Adam, and Nick admitted he was scared for Victor. Sally suggested that Nick, Victoria, and Adam work together to help their father, but Nick didn’t see that working. However, he did feel that perhaps Adam was sincere about his worries, and Sally said Adam was sincere, causing Nick to realize Sally and Adam were close again.
At Newman Enterprises, Adam (Mark Grossman) asked Victor (Eric Braeden) to get a drink. Victor accepted and wanted to discuss streamlining Kirsten, Inc. Of course, Adam started to remind his father that Sharon had taken over the company, and Victor acted confused, so Adam didn’t continue. Nate (Sean Dominic) walked in, asking if everything was okay.
In the hallway, Nate and Adam discussed Victor’s worsening condition. Adam let the former doctor know he’d spoken with a specialist, which surprised Nate. Adam left, and Nate went back into the office where Victor asked if it was Adam or Nick who’d stopped by. He also acted confused about Kirsten Inc., and Nate set him straight. “What’s happening to me?” Victor wondered.
Nate told Victor that Adam had spoken with a specialist, and Victor felt his younger son was building a case against him. However, Nate wasn’t so sure, but Victor was. Nate suggested Victor consider a short-term leave of absence, but Victor wouldn’t hear of it.
Sally and Nick walked back downstairs, and Adam walked up, wanting to speak with Nick, so Sally left. Adam let his brother know about Victor’s latest flub, and he insisted that they take action to help Victor. Nick said he didn’t trust that Adam had Victor’s best interest at heart, though, but Adam insisted he truly cared, and he asked Nick to be there when he met Victor for drinks with the specialist listening in.
