Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Also in this episode, Adam (Mark Grossman) makes demands of Tucker. Abby doesn’t quite buy Ashley’s sudden change of heart. Devon and Lily catch up, and Daniel is appalled by Phyllis’s selfishness. Now let’s dig deeper into what happened.
Young and the Restless: How Dare You!
Sharon (Sharon Case) showed up at Adam’s to talk about office space. He seemed distracted, and she pushed him to open up to her. Adam wanted to keep things firmly business, but ultimately, he relented.
Of course, Sharon didn’t like it when Adam mentioned that he wanted to be with Sally and that it was clear Nick and Sharon were each other’s one true pairing. He said that Nick obviously still loved Sharon even if the love might be dormant. Sharon was offended, and she worried about how they’d all work together after Adam had crossed the line. She refused to be a pawn in his games with Nick. Adam apologized, and Sharon also said she shouldn’t have pushed him to talk about his feelings.

Tucker (Trevor St. John) showed up, and Sharon left. He wanted to know how Adam’s restructuring of the company was going, and Adam presumed he’d spoken with Phyllis. Tucker wondered what was in it for Adam for Phyllis to blackmail him with the emails and statutory rape coverup. All Adam wanted was to keep Phyllis out of prison for — reasons.
Young and the Restless Recap: Blackmail
Earlier, at Society, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) demanded that Tucker give her Carson, but Tucker didn’t bite. He wasn’t concerned about whatever Phyllis had from the old email files. She continued to push him, but Tucker remained unmoved. Ultimately, he left, and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) showed up.
Phyllis let Daniel know that Christine was after Summer. He immediately wanted his mom to take the deal and save his sister. However, Phyllis wasn’t ready to give up on her plan to beat the charges. After all, Heather believed in her. Daniel couldn’t believe his mom could be so selfish. He begged her to do the right thing for once in her life.
After he left, Sharon showed up, and she noted that she and Phyllis might work together soon. Phyllis wasn’t pleased that nobody believed in her, but Sharon figured she had something up her sleeve, which Phyllis admitted she might.
They argued a bit, with Sharon telling Phyllis she needed to take accountability. Phyllis noted how Sharon was stuck between Nick and Adam…again. Adam interrupted, noting that they all had pasts, but surely they could make it work.
Y&R Recap: Selfish
Lily (Christel Khalil) met with Devon (Bryton James) at the Chancellor mansion. He updated her about the Abbott family drama, and Lily worried about holding Ashley and Tucker’s wedding at the mansion.
At the GCAC, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) shocked Abby (Melissa Ordway) by telling her she was over her whole Diane situation. Abby didn’t quite buy her mom’s sudden change of heart, but Ashley insisted that she wasn’t going to continue to allow Diane to cause her such trouble. Abby begged her mom to call a real truce with Jack, and Ashley promised she would. She asked Abby to get Jack to agree to come to the wedding.
At the Abbott mansion, Ashley let Tucker know that she thought Abby bought her change of heart. Tucker updated Ashley about Phyllis becoming a liability and said they couldn’t count on her anymore. They also discussed how important Billy was to their plan. Abby went back home and updated Devon about her cautious optimism where Ashley was concerned.
Lily met Daniel at the park. He vented all about his mom, and Lily was appalled on his behalf. She said she knew that Daniel would do whatever it took to protect his sister. Lily praised Daniel for being such a great brother.
