The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, September 6, 2023, brings Adam convincing Sharon to talk to Nick for him.

Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Also in this episode, Victoria confronts Victor about making changes without consulting her. Audra and Kyle agree to take their affair underground, and Nikki remains wary of Audra. Meanwhile, Sally gives Nick some good advice. Now, let’s dig deeper into what went down.

Young and the Restless: Adam Sets His Plan In Motion

Sharon (Sharon Case) stopped by Adam’s (Mark Grossman). She wanted to help him after Victor’s rejection, but Adam said she couldn’t help him. Sharon called out Adam on his martyr syndrome, and she told him to meet her halfway. Adam agreed she was right, and he was his own worst enemy.

He said he wanted to change and look at his place in the Newman family as something to appreciate instead of a right. Adam admitted he was willing to work his way up at Newman Media and pay his dues, but Sharon didn’t fully buy it.

Adam explained how everything he’d ever had he lost. Ultimately, he had to focus on making changes, and he asked Sharon to help him. Sharon wasn’t sure how she could, so Adam suggested that she convince Nick that he was sincere about changing.

Ultimately, Sharon said she’d support Adam if he really committed to changing. Adam switched the subject to Sharon, wondering if she’d really fight Victor. She declared she wouldn’t back down. Adam thanked her for stopping by, and he asked her again to help him convince Nick he’d changed. She reluctantly agreed, but she warned Adam that he better be on the level. He assured her he was.

Young and the Restless Recap: How Could You?

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) told Victor (Eric Braeden) that she’d decided to take the position of head of Newman Media. She also updated her husband on Audra and Kyle’s affair and her demand that it end. Victor agreed with Nikki because he wouldn’t have Audra upsetting their granddaughter.

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) let Nick (Joshua Morrow) know she was furious at their father for restructuring without consulting her. She wanted to know what he thought. Nick still wasn’t happy Victoria had forced him out, but she insisted she had good intentions. She let her brother know she wanted to work with him again. Nick reiterated that he didn’t trust Nate.

Later, Victoria arrived at the ranch and berated Victor for not telling her about the changes. He insisted that it wasn’t personal. Victor reminded his daughter he’d handled Adam the way she wanted, and she was grateful about that. He admitted that telling Adam to leave was one of the hardest things he’d ever done, and he took no pleasure in the situation. Victoria reassured her dad that he’d made the right call, and she apologized for her flippant remarks.

Y&R Recap: Relationships In Play

At the GCAC, Audra (Zuleyka Silver) caught Kyle (Michael Mealor) up on the situation at Newman Media. She also let him know Nikki demanded that they stop seeing each other. Kyle wasn’t at all thrilled to hear it. Audra declared Nikki needed to think they broke up while keeping their affair secret.

Audra went to her suite, and she called Nikki to discuss Kyle’s professional future. She arranged to meet her new boss downstairs in half an hour after Kyle showed up in the middle of the call. They enjoyed a quickie, and then Audra went to the meeting.

Audra reassured Nikki that things were over with Kyle, but she wanted to keep him at Newman Media. Nikki let her know she was taking over as CEO of the company, and Audra expressed her relief at not being fired. Ultimately, Nikki warned Audra not to make any underhanded moves in the future.

Nick and Sally (Courtney Hope) met up at Crimson Lights. He updated her on all the changes at Newman. Sally felt for Adam, but Nick told her not to feel bad for his brother. He admitted he was hesitant to accept the co-CEO position at Newman Enterprises, and Nick changed the topic to Sally and her new company.

Later, Nick let her know he didn’t trust Nate and wasn’t thrilled to work between him and Victoria again. Sally told Nick that maybe walking away from Newman Enterprises was the right choice, and she encouraged her boyfriend not to follow Victor’s commands. Nick appreciated Sally’s input and her fire, and she promised to support whatever decision he made.
