Young and the Restless Recap: Summer Suspects Her Marriage Is Over

The Young and the Restless recap sees Summer surmising that things between her and Kyle might really be over this time.

Jack and Diane plan their future and worry about their son. Audra enjoys her activities with Kyle and then considers how he may be able to help her reach her goals. Young and the Restless: Ah, Romance

Michael (Christian Le Blanc) and Lauren (Tracey Bregman) enjoyed the romantic evening he had set up in his hotel room. Of course, before things got too fun, he mentioned he’d had a visitor — Phyllis in a trench coat.

Lauren hoped her genius, legal-minded husband could help Phyllis escape the charges she faced. After all, Diane managed to avoid paying much for her faked death. The two discuss Phyllis’s misdeeds, and then they continued their romance. After having fun in bed, they toasted with champagne.

Summer got a text from Phyllis at home, and she wasn’t thrilled about her mom causing all this trouble. However, she did text her back, letting her know that Michael may have a way out for her.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) showed up at the Abbotts and updated Summer about Cameron kidnapping Faith, Sharon killing him, and Sally losing the baby. Summer didn’t want to pile on her dad’s problems, but he got her to open up to him.

Summer explained that she’d protected her mother, choosing Phyllis over Kyle, which may just cost her their marriage. Nick didn’t understand why Phyllis put so much on Summer, and he didn’t appreciate that. He expressed his fury at Phyllis for faking her own death. Nick reminded Summer that she and Kyle could work it out if they both wanted, but she wasn’t so sure that was the case. He advised his daughter to give her estranged husband some space and to have a whole lot of patience. Summer worried that it really was the end for them.

Young and the Restless Recap: The Future

At the GCAC, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters) enjoyed their evening together. They were so so great and so so happy. Of course, they both were old and wise and were getting into marriage with their eyes wide open. What a shame both Ashley and Phyllis were living in the past, but Jack and Diane certainly weren’t.

Upstairs, Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) went for round two, and she was upfront with him about needing to get some work done even though it seemed like he wanted to stick around for some cuddling. Of course, she wanted him to join her in the shower first, which was more than fine with him.

Kyle got dressed and ran into his parents downstairs. He covered for himself and said he’d just tried to get away from the stress at home but decided to go back to be there with Harrison. He left quickly, and they hated seeing Kyle so off.

Nate texted Audra about their world-changing day tomorrow, and she said that hers might have already changed. Audra looked up Kyle online.

Y&R Recap: The Past

Jack and Diane arrived at the mansion just as Nick was leaving. They let Summer know that Kyle was on his way home and offered to stick around with her, but she declined. When Kyle finally arrived, Summer said hi to him, but he merely looked at her and walked upstairs.
