The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, June 30, 2023, brings a box for Sharon filled with the remnants of Cameron’s disturbing life.
Nick and Sharon discussed their families. Jack talked with both Kyle and Summer (Allison Lanier), and Summer also updated Michael on her precarious legal and personal situation. Audra made herself known, while Mariah wasn’t thrilled to say, “I told you so,” this time. Now let’s dig deeper into what went down.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) showed up at Sharon’s (Sharon Case) with a box that was left by the gate. They reminisced about a necklace after she had him help her put it on. Then the exes talked about how Faith (Reylynn Caster) was doing, and Nick filled in Sharon on Phyllis blowing up Summer’s life.
Ultimately, after discussing their lives, Sharon and Nick opened the box, and it was a bunch of things from Cameron (Linden Ashby). It contained some disturbing journals from when he was a teen. There was also a bizarre photo of his parents with their faces removed and his dog’s ashes.

However, perhaps the most interesting item found among his things was that Cameron left Sharon Kirsten Incorporated. She wasn’t interested in taking over his company, no matter how much it was worth, assuming Cameron was still messing with her from beyond the grave. Cameron’s attorney wanted Sharon to contact him. Ultimately, Sharon dumped the paperwork in the trash.
Talk turned to Sally and Adam, and Sharon wished the grieving parents could grieve their daughter together. Nick felt Adam would do whatever he wanted and that Sally had moved on from his brother. After all, Nick warned Adam to give Sally some space.
Summer met with Michael (Christian Le Blanc) at the GCAC. He updated her on Phyllis’s case. Summer let Michael know that she might need his services for both a potential criminal complaint and for a potential divorce. Michael thought Summer had made a mistake talking to the police, and as for Kyle, he hoped Summer’s husband would eventually forgive her. Summer wasn’t holding her breath.
Audra (Zuleyka Silver) showed up and introduced herself to Michael after Summer noted she’d been the person who broke Noah’s heart. They talked, and Audra expressed her condolences about Phyllis, and she pointed out what a roller coaster the whole thing must be. Audra mentioned Summer was lucky to have her husband.
At the Abbott mansion, Kyle (Michael Mealor) remembered sex with Audra and smiled. Jack (Peter Bergman) came in, and they talked about things. Kyle just wasn’t able to trust Summer anymore, and he let Jack know that he’d asked his wife for a separation.
Jack was unhappy to hear it, and he reminded his son that they’d forgiven Diane, and he suggested that Kyle could eventually forgive Summer. After all, they loved each other. Again, Kyle didn’t think so.
Later, after Kyle left, Summer showed up. Jack hugged her, and he expressed his hope that things would eventually work out between her and Kyle. They talked, and Marchetti came up. Jack pointed out Summer was the face of the brand, so if she and Kyle couldn’t work together, then he would have to be the one to step away.
At Crimson Lights, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Kyle had coffee together. He updated her on asking Summer to move out. Mariah admitted she’d told Summer that she wasn’t good enough for Kyle. This was one instance, though, where Mariah wasn’t thrilled she was right.
She offered for Kyle to call her any time and left. Audra walked in, and whispered into Kyle’s ear, and he seemed thrilled to see her.
