The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, July 3, 2023, brings Sharon making a big decision to take back her power.

Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Nick promises to support Sharon however he can. Nikki and Victor worry that Victoria and Adam (Mark Grossman) are on an unstoppable collision course. Audra wows Nate and Victoria. Kyle sends an extravagant gift to Audra to celebrate her moment at the top of Newman Media. Now let’s dig deeper into what went down.

Young and the Restless: Conditional Love

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) offered her condolences to Adam, but he didn’t believe she was really sorry he and Sally lost their baby. She mentioned God, but Adam said he didn’t believe in a God who would make him choose between Sally and their child.

Victor found Adam, and he let his son know that he and Nikki were worried about him. They talked, and Victor ultimately suggested that Adam put all his energies into rebuilding McCall. Adam actually agreed and spelled out his plan. Of course, Victor didn’t like that Adam planned to go after Newman Media, and he warned his son he was making a mistake. Victor also warned Adam not to mess with his biggest supporter and reminded his son that could change at any moment (so much for unconditional love).

Nate (Sean Dominic) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) discussed business at the office while also making out. They planned a business trip for research. Nikki walked in on Nate and Victoria, asking him to leave her alone with her daughter.

Nikki wasn’t happy to hear that Nate was taking a meeting alone, but Victoria defended it. She accused her daughter of trying to keep her brother away from the company for good, and Victoria denied it — she blamed Nick for having outside issues keeping him from giving 110% to the company. Nikki gave Victoria a warning as her co-CEO that she didn’t agree. She wondered if Victoria was worried that Nick was right about Nate like he was right about Ashland, and Victoria went off.

Ultimately, Nikki found Victor just as Adam left. He told his wife how worried he was about his son. Of course, Nikki also let Victor know just what Victoria had been up to with reassigning Nick’s staff and sidelining her brother.

Young and the Restless Recap: A Bold Move

Audra (Zuleyka Silver) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) discussed the pros and cons of the Newmans. She thought he’d spoken from experience, and of course, he had. Later, they talked business at Chancellor Park, and Audra explained how badly she wanted to be in charge, and she just couldn’t believe it.

Later, Audra presented her plans about Newman Media to Victoria and Nate. Audra impressed them both, and Nate talked her up after she left. Victoria gave all the credit to Nate. He mentioned the restructuring of the company, and Victoria vowed to make McCall misery for Adam.

Kyle had flowers and diamond earrings delivered to Audra at the Athletic Club. He wanted the note to say “from one overachiever to another. Thanks for showing me your moves.”

Y&R Recap: Taking Back Power

Sharon (Sharon Case) explained to Nick (Joshua Morrow) how angry she was that Cameron still had so much control over her life. She wasn’t sure how to find peace, and neither was he, but he promised he was there for whatever she needed.

Sharon had an idea — to burn the stuff from Cameron’s box in the trash, so they did. After it was over, though, Sharon regretted not saying something for his victims. Then, she realized if she took control of Cameron’s company, she’d be able to take away his power. Sharon planned to turn something bad into something good because she’d been so blessed in her life.

Sharon also couldn’t wait to teach her children what it’s like to come back from dark moments and flourish. “Everything changes now,” she declared.
