The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, January 22, 2024, brings Victor shocking Adam when it comes to his relationship with Sally.
Also in this episode, Sharon and Nick grew closer. Victoria and Nikki discussed Claire, and later Victoria tried to get Victor to accept Claire into their family. Finally, Heather fully went for it with Daniel despite his relationship with Lily. Now, let’s dig deeper into what happened.
At Society, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) met. Victoria updated her mother on recent developments with Claire, and she expressed Victor’s investigation into her feelings for Cole.
In Victor’s (Eric Braeden) office at Newman Enterprises, he discussed business matters with Adam (Mark Grossman). Victor was proud that his sons were working so well together. As he was about to leave, Sally (Courtney Hope) texted Adam, and Victor noticed his son was happy. He told Adam he still didn’t think Sally was good enough for him, but he admitted that “the heart wants what the heart wants.” Adam said he was going to take that as Victor’s blessing.

At Crimson Lights, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sally briefly talked, clearing the air between them. When Sally left, Sharon (Sharon Case) realized Nick was more upset than he was letting on. They talked a bit, and Nick asked her to have dinner, and Sharon accepted.
At Society, Adam happily informed Sally about his father’s unexpected support, leading to a discussion about their relationship. As they kissed, Nick and Sharon walked in, and it was slightly awkward, but the two couples exchanged pleasantries and went on about their meals. Sharon and Nick laughed, and Adam told Sally that it seemed like Nick and Sharon were each other’s destiny.
Later, Victoria confronted Victor about interfering with Cole. She asked her father to trust her decisions.
Claire (Hayley Erin) woke up in the psychiatric hospital, and Nikki stood over her ominously.
Heather (Vail Bloom) visited Daniel’s (Michael Graziadei) place, and they talked about their past and potential future. (Read about the actor’s real-life romance here.) The tension arose when Heather confessed her renewed feelings for Daniel, despite his then-current relationship with Lily.
Heather acknowledged dropping the “L bomb” on Daniel, and she expressed her desire to rebuild their family. Daniel felt torn between Lily and the history he shared with Heather. They talked about their past in Savannah…both the good and the bad.
Heather fully went for it, though, telling Daniel she really wanted to get their family back together. She laid it on thick, discussing their life with Lucy. Before long, they shared a kiss and eventually moved into the bedroom. After they enjoyed some adult time, Daniel admitted he’d felt what Heather did.
