The Young and the Restless recaps for July 10 – July 14, 2023, featured run-ins (both real and imagined), run-outs, family fracases, and so much more.
Michael (Christian Le Blanc) takes a meeting with a disguised Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Phyllis fantasizes about a run-in with Diane (Susan Walters). Phyllis briefly considers conceding defeat but then decides to redouble her efforts…. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Tucker (Trevor St. John) agree that Phyllis could be their secret weapon in their war on Diane… Tucker eavesdrops on a conversation between Michael, Summer (Allison Lanier), and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and learns that they are searching for one of Jeremy Stark’s lackeys.
Daniel gifts birthday girl Lily (Christel Khalil) a sneak peek at a new game he’s designed based around an avatar in her likeness…. Billy (Jason Thompson) bolsters Summer’s spirits…. Jack (Peter Bergman) grouses about Diane and Tucker’s new joint venture.
Jack gathers Traci (Beth Maitland) and Billy and suggested they all vote to remove Ashley from the Jabot board; both balk…. Kyle (Michael Mealor) begins to feel like an odd man out and Jack does little to soothe his worries. Kyle perks up while bantering with Audra (Zuleyka Silver). Summer spies the two and makes her presence known; Kyle doesn’t thank her for it.
Sally (Courtney Hope) and Sharon (Sharon Case) make note of Adam’s (Mark Grossman) miserly business dealings. Sharon proposes to Adam that they merge their respective companies…. After another clandestine meeting with Michael, Phyllis makes contact with Summer…. A testy Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) clashes with Victoria (Amelia Heinle).
Sally seconds Victor’s (Eric Braeden) suggestion that Nicholas should join Adam at Newman Media…. Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Devon (Bryton James) handed over the keys to their old pad to Lily. Daniel and Lily set about christening the abode…. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) accepts the position of Creative Director at Marchetti…. Adam agrees to think about Sharon’s proposal.
Diane lays her cards on the table with Billy: she wants to fight Ashley and Tucker. Billy floats the idea that Diane should resign, for the short term, in an effort to stem the tide; Diane balks…. Abby reaches out to Summer. Summer warns Abby that if the Abbott family war escalates she [Abby] will be forced to take a side.
Kyle warns Mariah (Camryn Grimes) to extricate herself from Jabot while the going is good…. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) avails herself to Jack…. Tucker tries to get Ashley to open herself up to him, but she’d rather focus on their scheme to take over Jabot.
Phyllis strikes a Faustian bargain with Tucker — he’ll see to it that she walks in exchange for her wreaking havoc in Diane’s life. Heather (Vail Bloom) takes over as Phyllis’s attorney…. Phyllis surrenders to the GCPD…. Diane urges Kyle to reconcile with Summer…. Nate (Sean Dominic) makes an attempt to bond with Lily but she rebukes him.
