The Young and the Restless recaps for August 1 – August 5, 2022, feature an inconvenient truth, a game plan put into action, and so much more.

The Young and the Restless Recaps: Monday, August 1

Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) returns from Hawaii and reconnects with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic)… Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) commits himself to helping Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) in any way he can… Devon takes Nate to task when an error on his part results in a singer being double booked. Nate bristles when Devon suggests he be mentored in the ways of big business.

Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) welcome Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) home after the latter’s throat surgery… Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) responds to Diane Jenkins’s (Susan Walters) needling by unleashing a verbal smackdown. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) chastises Phyllis for her action, but she refuses to be cowed.

Young and Restless Recaps: Tuesday, August 2

Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) pitches to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) his idea to turn Top of the Tower into an art-themed nightclub; Victor doesn’t bite… Noah gives Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) the 4-1-1 on the Newman/Abbott feud… Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) conscripts Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) into his investigation into Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) death…

Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) informs Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) of her intent to stay on as CEO of Newman Media. News of Ashland’s death soon disseminates. Sally swears to Nick that she’ll ensure the facts are strictly adhered to. Nick confides in Sally his fight with Ashland… Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) makes a point of telling Victor that Chance hasn’t been snowed – he’s well aware that there’s more to the story.

Y&R Recaps: Wednesday, August 3

Sally demands further explanation from Nick where Ashland’s death is concerned; he obliges. Sally cautions that Newman Media should get ahead of anything that might smack of a coverup… Devon and Nate once again clash over the double-booking fiasco. Amanda is put out to learn that Nate has been in regular contact with Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose)… Phyllis sounds out whether or not she can expect an offer to join the team at Marchetti; Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) hedges.

The Young and the Restless Recaps: Thursday, August 4

Nick demands the truth from Victor – and he gets it. Yes, Ashland did die as a result of striking his head against the hearth and his car crash was staged on Victor’s orders… Sally lets Adam know that she’s staying put at Newman Media, and intimates that she knows far more about Ashland’s death than he.

Though it takes some doing, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is eventually convinced that Phyllis and Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) plan to sabotage Diane’s efforts at Marchetti has merit… There’s a break in the Ashland Locke case – someone has reported that the victim’s car was parked at a gas station near Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) abode.

Y&R Recaps: Friday, August 5

Nick fills Sharon and Victoria in on Victor’s subterfuge… Amanda learns that her mother slipped into a coma the previous night; she makes plans to join Imani at the family stronghold… Elena ponders whether Imani is purposefully fanning the tension between Nate and Devon; she makes note of Nate’s strenuous objection.

The camera footage obtained from the gas station has clearly been tampered with. Footage from a street camera seems to indicate that there was more than one person in Ashland’s vehicle. The plot thickens.
