The Young and the Restless Recaps: Monday, August 15
Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) loved ones rejoice at the return of her voice. Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) lets her daughter-in-law bend her ear and confide her greatest fear – that she’ll never be able to sing again.
Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) curiosity is piqued when he catches Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) enjoying one another’s company… Phyllis Summers (Michell Stafford) begins working at Marchetti. She and Diane make curt small talk.
Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and Chance Chancellor (Carson Boatman) hit paydirt: the former has been able to restore the deleted security camera footage and it has captured a man who is most decidedly not Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) getting in the victim’s car.
When apprised of the evidence, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) scoffs and warns his son-in-law to prioritize family rather than his dedication to law & order. Afterward, Victor puts his family on notice.
Young and Restless Recaps: Tuesday, August 16
Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) tries to sell Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) the benefits of using Newman Media to get ahead of the fallout resulting from Ashland’s death and the police investigation; his efforts are all for naught.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) presses Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to reveal what exactly she knows in regard to Ashland – he even offers to come clean about his reason for breaking her heart so callously. Sally double-bluffs and claims she’s actually none the wiser. When Nick comes a calling, Sally makes it clear that the company won’t be publishing any further Ashland-related stories.

Chance encouraged Adam to tap into his better angels… Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) was displeased to hear of the unceasing tension between Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic)… Nate and Victoria commiserated with each other.
Y&R Recaps: Wednesday, August 17
During a discussion with Lily, Nate voices his concerns and complaints where Devon is concerned. Lily floats one of Nate’s ideas Devon’s way disguised as her own; Devon bites, proving that there is legitimacy to what Nate has been saying. Upon learning of the subterfuge, Nate dresses Lily down and then heads off to confront his cousin.
Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) expresses concern that she and Nate are pulling apart. She finds comfort in talking to Devon… Phyllis and Nikki take a meeting with Talia Morgan (Natalie Morales), an investigative reporter interested in covering Diane’s return from the dead. Summer Newman (Allison Lainer) spies on the meeting and puts Phyllis on notice… Jack cautions Diane against purposefully baiting Phyllis.
The Young and the Restless Recaps: Thursday, August 18
Abby Carlton Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Chance discuss the Ashland case, Chance’s workaholism, and the damage that could be wrought if he continues investigating… A pressing meeting is postponed due to Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) tardiness. Lily rails at him and wonders whether or not he’s actually interested in remaining COO of Newman/Media.
Nate and Devon exchange harsh words… Devon and Abby bond over their respective dilemmas… Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) asks Victoria Newman (Ameila Heinle) to seriously consider telling Johnny that she is his biological mother… Kevin has yet another bombshell: a bloody fingerprint has been found in Ashland’s car – and it’s not a match to Ashland!
Y&R Recaps: Friday, August 19
Chelsea pushes Billy to intercede on her behalf and convince Victoria that admitting the truth to Johnny is best for all concerned… Chance gathers the Newmans and announces that he’s shutting down the investigation into Ashland’s death. The family rejoices; an obviously affected Chance takes to drink… Diane fantasizes about kissing Jack.
