The Young and the Restless Recaps: Monday, August 30

Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) was chagrined over the revelation that Benjamin “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) was her captor…Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) did not like Mariah’s insistence on referring to the baby as Bowie…Mariah was happily to see Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Chase)…Mariah bristled as Abby called herself the baby’s mother.

Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) made Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) acquaintance via a video call; she and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) were upset when Chelsea held off agreeing to commit to joining their fashion platform. During a private chat with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Chelsea expressed her dissatisfaction with Sally’s hiring. Chloe reiterated those same feelings; she encouraged Chelsea to give Sally a chance to prove herself.

Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) asked Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) if she would reunite with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) if he was a nonentity; Phyllis reaffirmed her commitment to Nick; afterward, she warned Sally to steer clear of her man; Sally refused to cower…Adam asked Sally to accompany him to the launch of Newman Media.

Young and Restless Recaps: Tuesday, August 31

Mariah awoke from a nightmare completely convinced that some untoward fate has befallen the baby; Abby managed to soothe her fear…Mariah explained her reasoning behind giving the baby the name Bowie…She was aghast to learn that her friends and loved ones actually believed that she had left town without a bye or note.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) attempted to ascertain whether Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nick were running their own background check on Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi); Nick refused to comment…Victoria pays Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) a visit and castigating her over what she perceived to be Billy’s continued harassment of Ashland.

Upon finding Ashland struggling to catch his breath, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) insisted on escorting him back to Victoria’s. There, Nate cautioned Ashland to be open and honest with Victoria about his health and mood…When Victoria returned and made inquiries about his current state, Ashland admitted that he wasn’t sure he could continue undergoing the chemotherapy.

Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) informed the interested parties that Stitch absconded with Max, and has yet to be located…Abby decided to christen her son Dominic Phillip Newman Abbott Chancellor…Mariah confided in Tessa that she’s having a difficult time letting the baby go.

Lily extended Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) an offer to take over Nate’s position as the face of ASKMDNOW; Elena promised to mull it over…Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) enthused over baby boy Chancellor to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan). She took note of his strong feelings for the child.

Y&R Recaps: Wednesday, September 1

Victor was irritated to see that Adam has invited Billy to the Newman Media launch party…Phyllis cautioned Billy to cease his investigation into Ashland…Ashland’s reaction to his latest chemo treatment provided Victoria with the perfect excuse to bow out of the gala event.

Sally and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) have a tense cross at Crimson Lights; his discourteous treatment of her spurs Sally into accepting Adam’s invitation to be his plus one at the party…The assemblage is scandalized when they walk into The Grand Phoenix, arm-in-arm.

Victoria wonders if there was anything from Ashland’s past that she should know; the convo stops short by a supposed dizzy spell on Ashland’s part; Victoria collects chicken soup for her patient.

Elena agreed to take on the top role at ASKMDNOW – but only on the proviso that the website take a more proactive role in reaching out to the community; Lily happily approved the change.

The Young and the Restless Recaps: Thursday, September 2

Billy and Adam spared over their competing companies…Billy gains access to the Newman Media suite, but Nick’s sudden appearance forced him to forgo his snooping…Nikki insulted Sally and told her that no one attending the party wants her there – aside from Adam, who’s probably using her for his own personal gain.

Victoria upset Victor by skipping the gala..Nate confided in Phyllis that he and Elena have been focusing far too much on their careers, and too little on their relationship; Phyllis promised to arrange a romantic interlude for the pair.

Amanda told Devon that a date has been set for Sutton Ames’s (Jack Landron) trial; talk then turned to the pull Devon feels towards baby Dominic…Phyllis and Sally spared; Sally threw a drink into Phyllis’s face, and in response, Phyllis overturned an ice bucket onto Sally…Adam spirited Sally upstairs, and worked to calm her down; Sally impulsively pulled Adam into a kiss!

Y&R Recaps: Friday, September 3

Adam pulled away from Sally – he’s just too broken to begin another relationship…Adam wows the crowd with his speech, but Lily sensed that he struck a nerve with Victor by mentioning Newman Media planned to expand further by absorbing other entities…Billy made a pest of himself, but neither Victor nor Adam rose to the occasion…

Tessa debuted an original lullaby for Dominic; Abby enthusiastically approved…Mariah personally feeds the baby – strengthening their bond, and rankling Abby…Nikki offered Nate her fundraising expertise after he talked up plans to expand the hospital…Victor attempted to poach Elena away from ChanceComm, but she refused the offer of becoming Newman Media’s Chief Medical Journalist.
