The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, July 3 featured a day of boozed up mishaps, sobering realities, and another ex meeting Chelsea’s new man.
A Bad, Bad Date
Nick (Joshua Morrow) wined and dined Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) at Society and got her to open up about being on the run. Chelsea explained how she laid low, reconnected with Anita (who has a new name), and kept herself safe by traveling around.
What about Calvin, Nick asked? If she’s already married to him and he adopted Connor that romance must have been off the hook. Was it love at first sight? No, she stole him from Anita, actually!
Lo and behold, Calvin (John Burke) showed up at Society and caught his wife on a date. He was not too happy about that or that his wife lied about coming back to her old stomping ground.
Summer’s (Hunter King) day drinking caught up with her when she got a warning shot from Kyle (Michael Mealor). Missing the meeting was a big mistake and everyone was furious, most of all her boss.
Her job was not the only thing she risked losing. Summer a sloppy drunk mess who could not stop talking about Kyle. So much so that Theo (Tyler Johnson) cut off the talk and took his leave. Summer’s condition gave Phyllis an in. She ran into her very drunk daughter and took care of her.
Red’s (Michelle Stafford) moving on up in the world, and not just climbing the corporate ladder. She made plans to check out of the AC and into her own penthouse.
She’s a CEO now and it’s time she started repping her power in and out of the office. Unfortunately, she may not have her job for long. Victoria was gunning for her and already stole Dark Horse’s biggest client!
My Home Is Your Home
Speaking of penthouses, Elena started to get comfortable in hers. She brought flowers home to brighten things up and Devon was quite impressed. He even invited her to redecorate. This is her home now too, after all.
The Worst Is Yet To Come
Meanwhile, Victor (Eric Braeden) called his daughters to the office to break more news about his health. He’s an experimental trial and warned them it could have dire consequences. So far all is well but who knows what may come his way.
Victor and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) then went to hit the fair. Dressed to the nines they hung out with the locals, played some carnival games, and had Voltron predict Victor’s future (a long and happy life). The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
