The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, August 17, 2020 features new partnerships forming. Sharon agrees to help Adam, despite Nick, Rey, and Chelsea’s concerns. Plus, Victoria has a proposition for Jack, while Phyllis needles Abby about Chance.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Nick (Joshua Morrow) told Adam (Mark Grossman) to stay away from Sharon (Sharon Case). Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) wished he had told Adam to stay away from Sharon. (While awkwardly talking to Nick in an empty restaurant from two different booths.)
Sharon, on the other hand, agrees to help Adam remember what happened when AJ the Loan Shark died. She also urges him to tell Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) about it, who is busy kissing up to Victor by telling him she knows he did what he did out of love. Like he always does. Victor muses about regrets he’s had in his life. His major one was letting Hope think for herself and raise Adam without him. Look at the joy Victor has brought to Adam’s life ever since being in it!

Combining Forces
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) calls Jack (Peter Bergman) and makes him a business proposition – during the commercial break. When we return, Jack loves the idea, and Victoria is predicting that this will be huge, cementing her place as the new CEO of Newman Enterprises. Who wants to take bets that Victor is going to hate this idea? Which is why Victoria and Jack are so excited about it.
Dem Bones
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) taunts Abby (Melissa Ordway) about the dinosaur bones stopping her hotel’s construction. Abby says, “Oh, yeah, well, same to you!” Phyllis then tells her to go find her boyfriend before she doesn’t have a boyfriend left to find.
Abby goes looking for Chance (Donny Boaz) but then pouts because he has the audacity to worry about his friend, Adam. Abby reminds him that she hates Adam, so Chance needs to hate Adam, too. Maybe Phyllis was onto something with that boyfriend thing. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
