The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, August 21, 2020 ends the week with multiple characters whistling past a graveyard. Plus, Kyle tells Nick a whopper of a tale, Phyllis baits Abby, Amanda influences Billy, and Theo wallows in self-pity.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
First, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) pull each other’s legs. Then Kyle explains to Nick how he has always loved Summer (Hunter King), even while he was married to Lola (Sasha Calle). So why did he divorce Summer in order to marry Lola, if Summer was the one he loved all along?
Fans saw with their own eyes Summer blackmail Kyle into marriage, then saw Kyle so desperate to be with Lola that he actually broke the terms of his and Summer’s agreement. Yeah… he allegedly still loved Summer then, too.
Nick points out that Kyle once swore Lola was the love of his life, but now he says it’s Summer. Is Kyle sure he has no more feelings for Lola? As sure as Kyle was that he had no more feelings for Summer when he married Lola!
Kyle tells Lola their divorce will be final soon. She’s fine with it. She’s got Theo (Tyler Johnson) now; Theo and his whining about how nobody will hire the poor baby social influencer.
Figure It Out
Abby (Melissa Ordway) wants to know what Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is planning for their hotel. Phyllis says “Nyah, nyah, nyah, I’m not going to tell you.” Following this mature exchange, Phyllis tells Nick that she has a job for him.
Change Of Mind
Billy (Jason Thompson) tells Amanda (Mishael Morgan) that he doesn’t want to hire Theo. Amanda talks about her role in getting Victoria (Amelia Heinle) stabbed. Afterward, Billy tells Amanda that she helped change his mind… somehow… The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
