The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, December 14, 2023, brings a real date for Sally and Adam.
Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Also in this episode, Chloe tried to convince Nick to save Sally from Adam. Victor berated Michael for taking Claire’s case. Michael asked Claire to plead guilty by reason of insanity. Victoria worried about Nikki’s safety as Nikki went to great lengths to hide her drinking. Victor realized that Jordan had set him up. Christine wasn’t pleased to see Danny with Phyllis, and Summer ran into Chance. Now, let’s dig deeper into what happened.
Reunited
Sally (Courtney Hope) and Adam (Mark Grossman) enjoyed a date at the GCAC. They had burgers for lunch, and their conversation was flirty. Adam even remembered how much she loved hot sauce. As their date ended, things got a little awkward. Adam wanted to set up another date, and after some back and forth, Sally agreed to have dinner with him.

At Crimson Lights, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) ran into Nick (Joshua Morrow). She wanted to talk about him saving Sally from Adam, but Nick insisted that Sally could make her own decisions. She just couldn’t stand the thought of Adam breaking Sally’s heart again.
How Could You!
Victor (Eric Braeden) confronted Michael (Christian Le Blanc) about taking Claire’s case. However, Michael insisted that Claire deserved a lawyer, and he left to go to her arraignment. Victor specifically did NOT wish him well.
At the ranch, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) updated Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) about Michael taking Claire’s case. Nikki wasn’t pleased at all to hear that Victoria was so concerned about the young woman. After all, what if she got off on the charges and mounted another attack against their family with Jordan?
At the motel, Jordan (Colleen Zenk) called the police and gave them a tip about herself. She quickly left the room with a bunch of evidence set up on the bed. (Refresh your memory on her return here).
Victor went home, and he updated Nikki on the situation with Jordan. His wife refused to work from home. Victor received a text about what they’d found at Jordan’s hotel room, and he left to meet Nick at the GCAC where they saw Adam and Sally sharing a meal. His father urged him to let it go, and Nick agreed. They left.
Victoria offered to work from the ranch, but Nikki refused her offer. The moment Victoria left, Nikki wasted no time in taking another drink and refilling her flask. She even refilled the bottle with some water.
Nick and Victor showed up at Jordan’s hotel room to see what she’d left. Victor immediately felt it was too easy. He smelled a setup.
Michael showed up to visit Claire. He let her know that he wanted her released into a mental health facility, but he needed Claire to plead guilty by reason of insanity.
At another hotel, Jordan walked in, and she had on a wavy blonde wig and dark glasses. “It’s perfect. It’s absolutely perfect,” she declared.
The Future and The Past
At Daniel’s, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) got a surprise when Danny (Michael Damian) opened the door. She invited him to lunch, but he was working on a new song. However, after a bit, Danny changed his mind about lunch, so they left.
Chance (Conner Floyd) met with Christine (Lauralee Bell). He let her know that he was resigning. Christine was aghast at the news, and she urged Chance to reconsider. Summer showed up, and Christine complained about how unhappy she was to lose Chance from the police department.
As Christine left, Phyllis and Danny walked in laughing. Phyllis got in some digs, and Christine asked to talk to Danny outside. As she went on about him lunching with Phyllis, Christine realized she sounded like an angry teen.
Danny told Christine he was just enjoying lunch with Phyllis and reconnecting. Of course, what he and Christine had was more, and it looked toward the future where things with Phyllis were about the past. They kissed, and Phyllis looked on from inside. (Did Phyllis forget Michael’s recent warning?)
