The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, February 7, sees Holden’s cover blown as Amy tells Nate she doesn’t know who he is. Damian agrees to meet. Plus, Sally and Billy make plans for Paris after Billy and Phyllis work to convince Daniel to join them at Abbott Communications.
What Happened On The Young and the Restless?
At Society, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) was jealous that Sally (Courtney Hope) was going to Paris without her. Sally felt positive about her relationship with Billy, noting that things were going well. Chloe warned that Billy was like catnip for women attracted to broken men, herself included. She teased Sally about the romantic getaway. Chloe said Sally deserved more after her tumultuous relationship with Adam (Mark Grossman). However, Chloe certainly understood Billy’s appeal.
Sally confessed that Adam had broken her heart. However, when she and Billy connected, he was equally as miserable, so they bonded over their shared misery and undeniable chemistry. Chloe reminded Sally that Billy had a tendency to regularly mess up his life. Chloe felt Sally could offer Billy a chance at redemption. Sally said both she and Billy would be fine independently. Chloe said she’d be happy for Sally if things with Billy got more serious. Sally promised to take plenty of photos for Chloe in Paris.

A New Direction
At home, Billy (Jason Thompson) thanked Jack (Peter Bergman) for transferring funds into his account and having faith in him. When Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) arrived, Billy wondered if they were celebrating. They discussed building a global entity, and Billy guessed Daniel was on board. He pitched that Abbott Communications could be perfect for Daniel, inviting him to join the team. Billy offered Daniel an opportunity to move forward after the difficult year he’d had.
Daniel wasn’t sure about partnering with Billy. Phyllis found Billy’s ideas about leading with brains and not AI appealing and assured Daniel that they could make his visions a reality. Billy asked Daniel what he really wanted. Daniel said he didn’t want to focus on art anymore. They talked about creating podcasts and self-help products. Phyllis believed this venture would give Daniel freedom. Billy reiterated that they could help him significantly impact the world.
Daniel agreed that the plan sounded incredible but noted it was just that—a plan. Billy informed him that the money was already in the bank and that Jack had faith in the startup. Daniel asked for the night to think it over. Billy said that if Daniel joined, he needed to be all in. Billy surprised Phyllis when he said he was going to Paris with Sally.
Phyllis advised Billy against leaving town. Billy assured her it was only for a few days and they didn’t even know if Daniel was on board yet. Phyllis reluctantly left.
Sally showed up and reminded Billy that they needed to get going. He kissed her neck, but she insisted they had no time. Billy referenced a fortune cookie that predicted she’d have great success—in bed, and they started making out.
Meanwhile, Phyllis and Daniel went to Society. Daniel said Billy talked a good game but often faltered in execution. Phyllis insisted they could be successful. Daniel admitted that, for the first time in a long while, it felt like things could work out.

Mystery Solved…Kind of
At the penthouse, Nate (Sean Dominic) was confused when Amy (Valarie Pettiford) declared that “Damian” was not her son and that she’d never seen him before. Before Holden (Nathan Owens) could leave, Nate demanded to know who he was. Holden admitted to working for Damian (Jermaine Rivers), who had sent him to test Nate. Amy didn’t understand why Damian would do that.
Nate didn’t like the deception, but Holden pointed out he had made a fake job offer. Amy demanded that Holden take her to Damian because it was a matter of life and death.
Nate assured Holden that Amy was a good woman and urged him to do as she asked. Holden wanted Amy to leave it alone. Amy pleaded with Holden to help her. Ultimately, Holden agreed to try. However, he cautioned that Damian was stubborn so he couldn’t promise anything.
Nate offered Amy some green tea and admitted it hadn’t occurred to him that Damian would lie. Amy couldn’t fathom how her son could have orchestrated a lie like this. Amy was hurt by Damian’s deception, but Nate reassured her. He didn’t think Damian knew she was involved.
Nate was confident that Damian would remember what a great mother she was and how much he loved her. Amy worried about the time her son was wasting.
In the park, Holden updated Damian that his cover had been blown. Damian didn’t understand why his mom had used Nate to find him. Holden encouraged him to see his mother because she wasn’t looking well, so Damian called Nate and agreed to meet.
