The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, January 8, 2024, brings terror for Ashley as she remembers Tucker’s outburst.
Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Also in this episode, Jack worried that Tucker might be on to Kyle’s plan. Audra reassured Tucker that her loyalty was firmly with him. Victor checked up on Nikki, and she met with her AA sponsor, Seth. Nick and Adam agreed to work together for Victor’s sake. Now, let’s dig deeper into what happened.
Ashley Was Fearful
At the Abbott mansion, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) flashed back to her fight with Tucker (Trevor St. John) in Paris. Both Jack (Peter Bergman) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) realized she was still shaken up about the violent way Tucker had acted.
After Ashley left, Jack quizzed Kyle on how things were going with Tucker. Kyle assured his dad he had everything under control, but Jack wasn’t convinced. Ultimately, he pushed Kyle to contact Tucker again, so Kyle did, but he didn’t receive a response.

At the GCAC dining room, Tucker and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) met for a meal. They talked, and she told him that Kyle was playing him. Tucker wanted to know how long she’d known, but Audra played it off. She reassured Tucker that she hadn’t fallen for Kyle. Instead, Audra went on about how Tucker was the person she had the deepest connection with.
Ashley walked in, and Audra noticed something was off with Tucker. He flashed back to his argument in Paris with Ashley, and his memory was far less angry and violent than Ashley’s. Tucker explained that Ashley accused him of being violent, which Audra admitted didn’t sound like him.
Later, Tucker tried to talk to Ashley in the lobby, and she acted scared. He called her out on that, and Ashley insisted she was right to be scared after his violent outburst in Paris. He denied it, and Ashley said one of them remembered it wrong…and it wasn’t her.
Sobriety Check
Victor (Eric Braeden) drove Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) to work. (Check out why we gave Thomas Scott honors two months in a row.) He looked in her desk, and Nikki acted offended that he was checking up on her. After Victor left, Nikki hurriedly looked in the drawer and found her flask. She seemed tempted, but ultimately, Nikki recapped her flask and returned it to her desk.
At Society, Nikki met with her Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor, Seth (Brian Gaskill). He called her out on not contacting him after her recent ordeal. Nikki readily admitted she was trying to white-knuckle everything.
Victor walked in, and he was surprised and somewhat suspicious of Seth. He explained to Victor he was Nikki’s sponsor. After he left, Victor confronted Nikki about keeping her sponsor a secret, but Nikki explained herself. She promised him that she was working hard to stay on the wagon.
Working Together
Earlier, Victor met with Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Adam (Mark Grossman) at Newman Enterprises. He told his sons he wanted them to work together as co-CEOs. Nick didn’t seem to be on board, but Adam was. They agreed to work together, and Adam left. Nick questioned his father, but quickly fell in line, agreeing to help for both Victor and Victoria’s sakes. (Here’s what Victoria is doing right now.)
The brothers met up at Crimson Lights, and at first, Nick disagreed with everything Adam suggested. Adam called him out, and Nick admitted that he wasn’t even trying. He promised to try, and the two managed to reach a compromise on two issues, which they counted as a win.
