The Young and the Restless recap for October 26-30, 2020, features Adam giving his family the “It’s not me, it’s you” speech, plus discord in the Abbott mansion, a surprise hookup, and so much more

The Young and the Restless Highlights

Though he lost the (supposed) love of his life – seriously, it vacillates between Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Sharon (Sharon Case) on any given day – Adam (Mark Grossman) gained some newfound clarity. The reason his life sucks is all down to the fact that he’s a Newman. An eager to please, quick to anger Newman.

Adam Changes Who He Is

With that in mind, he renounced his name, his ties to the family, and his claim on any future riches. Victoria (Amelia Heninle) and Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) were sure that he was playing a long con. Victor (Eric Braeden) stomped around and blamed everybody but himself for Adam’s actions.

And Adam sat around in his apartment drinking and acting all kinds of creepy. Maybe Vic shouldn’t dismiss his heir and spare’s concern out of hand.

YR Musings

Turns out that Jack (Peter Bergman) isn’t exactly a man of his word. Shocker! He went to great pains to TELL Theo (Tyler Johnson) that he was apart of the Abbott family. But then, he robbed the young man of the opportunity to say goodbye to a dying Dina (Marla Adams). And, insult of insults, he neglected to fashion him a bauble containing a segment of The Teardrop of Love.

Here’s hoping that Theo takes the family to task for their treatment of him and wreaks havoc…we know he has it in him. Maybe that change made to his grandmother’s will can make up for the wrong his family has done.

After another marathon back and forth session – she wants him, she doesn’t want him, etc. – Summer (Hunter King) decided that she DID want Kyle. And then he promptly dumped her…permanently. Turns out, he’s through with her childish, selfish games. Guess she should have acted like an adult and faced her problems head on, huh?

Hands up anybody who thinks that Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Chance (Donny Boaz) have what it takes to go the distance? Especially now that he’s the GCPD’s newest recruit. Detectives and the Newman family mix about as well as oil and water.

Amanda’s (Mishael Morgan) search for answers continued and her relationship with Devon (Bryton James) grew every deeper. Anybody else think that in a few months time those two will be an official couple alongside Nate (Sean Dominic) and Elena (Brytni Sarpy)?

Billy (Jason Thompson) and Lilly. Together? Like, a bona fide couple? Please say it isn’t so! The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
